Excelent stay. The onsen was perfect! The lounge was full of manga and full body massagers - so good! Rooms were very big as for Japan. Excelen hotel stuff provided very good instructions as per parking.

the hotel truly exceeded all my expectations. It is impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I don't even know how many times I've stayed at this hotel, probably 10 different times already. Associa is the best location when you plan to use the Shizuoka often. Hotel is kept very well and the price is not so bad as well. There are a lot of walkable locations and that is always a plus. I will definitely stay here again in a few months.

My room was spacious and very comfortable, making for a great stay. I also appreciated the Business Hotel perks, such as complimentary coffee and beverages. The hotel is just a short bus ride from Shizuoka Station, and free onsite parking is available—perfect if you're planning to rent a car (which I highly recommend to fully explore the area). The staff were exceptionally friendly and always helpful whenever I had questions.

Shizuoka is a hidden gem.

Shizuoka is a hidden gem. You can stay here and get to many sightseeing destinations by rail (day trips) and come back to the relaxation of more laidback location. Locals are very pleasant and friendly, not so jaded by the over tourism of Kyoto and Osaka. We speak very limited Japanese, but were welcomed and managed in small local restaurants and Izakayas.

Shizuoka's shinkanesen train station is packed full of interesting shops and restaurants. We absolutely loved browsing as we waited for our train. Our visit in Shizuoka was much too short. I would have like to walk through the park (Sumpu) Walk through the city and explore more of the department stores. We got to see a local tea farm but it would have been great to visit more. We tried Sushiro which was really fun and delicious and better than most of the sushi restaurants in Montreal.

For those whose hobby is into plastic modelling, the city of Shizuoka is considered the model city of Japan. There is the annual Shizuoka hobby show that is held in the second week of May and is one of the biggest model show exhibitions in the world so hobbyist will not be disappointment.

We hated it. We felt unsafe, boxed in.

We hated it. We felt unsafe, boxed in. My friend is fluent in Japanese but even she was having trouble making the staff understand even small things. It’s a love hotel. Very disturbing. Sextoy magasine, prostitute magasine, locked doors that only open when you call and ask the staff to open the doors. Staff that didn’t understand. Making me pay for two rooms when giving us just one room.

Shizuoka city has the pleasant atmosphere of a sizable city...

Shizuoka city has the pleasant atmosphere of a sizable city with a country feel. I love Shizuoka and of course, that big mountain is always visible in the near vicinity when it's not hanging with its cloudy mates.

From a touristic perspective Shizuoka was just perfect for travelers who look for a more relaxing location. It was not full of tourists like you would expect seeing in Tokyo. But this also means that not everything is written or explained in english. Shizuoka is a perfect stay location when you want to visit locations like Nagoya, Hamamatsu, Mishima or similiar (so places you would usually pass with a shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto)

This is a very convenient place to stay when visiting Shizuoka. The rooms are small, as in all Japanese business hotels, but nice, clean and comfortable. The bathtub is really nice! Breakfast buffet is included in the room price, and it's a very good breakfast with a good selection of Japanese and Western food. Furthermore, there is a 7-elven on the first floor, and lots of bars, restaurants and entertainment in walking distance from the hotel. Recommended!

This was my second visit and I wish the hotel would market to Oceania visitors as it’s truely an amazing location and experience that I know other travellers from downunder would love. Hotel provides a free return shuttle from Shizuoka Station to the hotel which we used twice during our stay. The hotel also offered a free ride to and from the ropeway which was a nice bonus. Staff were very professional yet accommodating during our short stay.

Location is super convenient. Right next to the Shizuoka station. Our room has 3 beds but the room was very spacious for the 3 of us. The sound proof is very good, we slept so well at the hotel despite it is located right next to the train station. Breakfast was ok too and the staffs are very polite and helpful.

The location is easy to find and convenient in the city center. There are also many parking lots nearby. I like the room has more space than other hotel rooms in Japan. I spent only one night as a transit between my journey from Shizuoka airport to Lake Yamanakako so I didn’t get to experience any facility.
