Daisuke and his staff are very friendly and helpful. As walking Henro, with only basic Japanese, we particularly appreciated their assistance finding our next accommodation. The Sake tasting sets are great, as is the local Uchiko beer and the prepared dinners scrumptious. The guest house is located in an ideal location for exploring the fabulous old Uchiko houses, in short, thoroughly recommended.

Ted is very hospitable, and I felt at home immediately as he welcomed me in. The place was perfectly clean, very organized, and very comfortable to use. The beds were extremely comfortable, and although the room isn’t large, it’s just the right size for what you need—a good night’s rest and a warm feeling of home.

A very lovely and comfortable house, also well equipped. The river in the garden is a so relaxing experience. Even if our stay was short, the staff was very kind and took the time of explaining us everything.

The reception staff were top notch friendly and helpful. Fun to chat with. The ladies who prepare the breakfast did a fantastic job. The traditional Japanese fare was lovely.

We were lucky enough to spent a wonderful time with our host, who speaks english very well. She was very friendly and had enough time for us to show us all the amenities and our wonderful room. Use your time to look at her art and what she sells of it, she is very talented, we've got wonderful pieces that will always remind us of our time there. Room and amenities are great and photos are accurate. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.

10/10 – Exceptional hospitality and unforgettable stay This was by far the warmest and most welcoming place we stayed during our entire road trip through Shikoku. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and their kindness made a real difference – especially when we had unexpected trouble with our rental car (they helped us without hesitation!).

The house is just so beautiful! The brilliance of Traditional meets modern in a functional and aesthetically beautiful way. There is parking at the front a small space for a small car. We were greeted so warmly, with the house warmed up, and it stocked with some essentials already. The house was well stocked with utensils and cooking items, we went to the supermarket not far from the house and cooked up a lovely dinner in the kitchen. The kotatsu was so warm and comfortable, the bedrooms had very soft comfortable mattresses and pillows as well! The house is very close to Ozu castle and it’s a lovely and short walk through the suburb to get there and if you want more of a walk there is access to the river that is next to the castle that has a lovely scenic walk. I would definitely recommend a stay and if I am ever back with the family I will stay again!

It's a cozy, spacious and very comfortable house. It has everything you need. Clean and beautiful. I wish I spent more days there. The owner of the property is a charming lady with a very kind and warm personality.

Everything about this accommodation was amazing. I would highly recommend if you are visting matsuyama and want to get away from the city for a night. I stayed here because of Aoshima (cat island). Unfortunately I could not go to aoshima because the ferry being repaired but I still think the journey was worth it for the views of the sea (especially sunset) and this amazing hostel. The facilities are good, though there's only one toilet and basin and two showers but not bad because there's only 6 beds in the bunk bed room so I found it fine. The hosts were so nice and even offered me some local food to try! Also it has a kotan which was really nice to try. Would highly recommend!!!
