Ureshino is famous for the green tea and the onsen. The Ureshino Tea Exchange musuem is 100% worth a visit and don't forget to drink a tea in the cafe! It is amazing quality and very cheap (300 yen for 1 tea) Then I would also recommend Fuji restaurant, they make great Okonomiyake, Yakisoba and many more dishes! Staff is amazing! The reception lady is super nice, she welcomed us with a warm smile, answered all questions and offered information on the room and facilities, then walked us to the room. A very relaxing stay with in-room onsen, the public bath is good too. Ureshino is a country town we stayed in while traveling around japan. It was so simple, quiet and cute. It was the perfect spot in the middle of everything and the JR rail stations went everywhere so it was perfect. The location was great, right along the main shopping street, and around the corner from the bus terminal, easily walkable to most attractions. The food were of good quality and delicious. I was there during the "fireflies" weekend, and the hotel arranged for transports to ferry hotel guests to see them after dinner.
