An unique experience. So different from regular hotels. We loved the こたつkotatsu. Very calm and peaceful. Public transportation is doable with some effort. We also enjoyed cycling around the countryside with the bikes provided.

Thank you for the perfect hospitality. The lovely hostess thought of every detail and we lacked nothing. We were thrilled that she left us strawberries in the fridge with a handwritten note in Hebrew. It was really sweet. The house is large, very clean, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is large and equipped with everything you need for cooking. The environment is rural and authentic, an experience of a village in Japan. The area is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do. Highly recommend 🤗

The location is by far the best thing about this hotel. You are close to the train station and right next to the main tourist attraction, beautiful little old-fashioned markets and shops with gorgeous streets and temples. The rooms were a bit small and no table to play games but we sat downstairs instead and had some drinks and played cards.

10 minutes walk from quiet side of the main station. While the other side of the station are redundant of shopping options. The route to Kurashiki heritage area was super close to this hotel. Good common bath area. They offer free local alcoholic sample drinks shot for tasting in the afternoon. For me, good plum wine.

Close to the historical district, the staff was friendly and informative. Had a delicious Japanese style breakfast. The beds were comfy. Enjoyed the onsen!

We had an excellent stay at the Ivy Square. The staff was very helpful, recommending an amazing local restaurant for dinner. Our room was quiet and comfortable with enough space for our many pieces of luggage. The location was perfect - at the edge of the historical center. And, parking was available for our rental car. It's very good value for money and higy recommended.
