everything is beyond perfect！ the location is very convenient and very quiet during the night 🌙 . The whole environment is lovely like fairytale. Not to mention the awesome service and dedication of the staff. Thanks to the reception staff（also certified sake master） who served us from check in to checkout showed great service. the breakfast is super delicious and more than we could expected. Excellent,! Very good location, minutes away from JR Karuizawa. Convenience store just right next to it. Generous sized rooms. Free shuttles to and fro ski centre and train station. Very friendly staff. Perfect family friendly accommodation. They had a welcome drink corner with light snacks and a fire place that kept the restless kids (travelling as 2 families with 3 preschoolers!) entertained while we check in. They also had a find where's Rosso mascot campaign that kept the kids busy the entire stay, and they still speak of it fondly today! We would love to go back again 10/10!

The room was nice. Two couples and each had separate bathroom. The cabin gave us time to spend together and planned the next few days itinerary. The location was 7 minutes away from the mall, so even when we didn't book dinner, the staff told us that we could head to the mall to have dinner. The mall was decorated with Xmas decor, very romantic. It was fun to walk there and somehow it had firework on Saturday evening, what a surprise. Note: food court closed at 7:00 pm sharp. The facility is beautiful for us and had different wildlife to observe. We all had a great time!

Wow, where do I even start? This hotel exceeded almost every single expectation that we had and was definitely a highlight of our trip. From the moment we stepped into the lobby for check-in, we were made to feel so welcomed by the friendly staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and service was very personal with a smile (behind the mask). Need directions? Check. Need an umbrella? Check. Need a taxi? Check. They even served welcome drinks to my parents who were just stopping by on the way to Nagano and were not guests. Such small gestures made us feel appreciated. The room was really huge and spacious, the pictures can't do it enough justice. We had a really comfortable sleep and wished we had booked it for another day. The centerpiece bathtub was really inviting and for the shy ones, there are blinds that can be lowered to block the views from the room. Breakfast was fantastic with a nice range of Western/Jap choices and we really enjoyed it. The spa/bath on the 3rd floor is a real treat and it's always nice to be able to soak in it after a long day out. Maybe it happened to be a Monday but I was the only one there and had both the indoor and outdoor bath area all to myself, talk about being lucky! Thank you Le Grand for such a wonderful stay in Karuizawa, would love to be back in the future!
