Quiet ryokan with beautiful facilities and friendly services. My room had a small but beautiful private garden. Dinner and breakfast were great, too! I highly recommend this ryokan.

Highly recommend! I'm glad that I found this place. The owner makes a good family vibe in this little hostel. This is your place if you want to find somewhere affordable and social but not too loud.

Yugawara is a wonderful destination for relaxation and nature. The town is peaceful and quiet, surrounded by mountains and the sea, with beautiful hot springs that make it perfect for a restful stay. Streets are charming and clean, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. It’s an ideal place to slow down, recharge, and enjoy authentic Japan away from the crowds.

Beautiful serene off the beaten track little town.

Beautiful serene off the beaten track little town. Friendly people. Central enough to get around and get to Mt Fuji. Local products are tasty. Locals make the most of their local merchandise. Information centre at the station very helpful.

I went golfing from Saitama. It's quite far.

I went golfing from Saitama. It's quite far. I stayed here after golfing. I think it's a hot spring resort that's a bit too much for a day trip. I've never stayed at a ryokan before, but I was impressed by how many more ryokans there are than I imagined. I didn't explore the town, but I thought it would be a good environment for a couple to spend some time relaxing and quietly soaking in the hot water at the ryokan. Just spending time doing nothing. In a sense, I think it's a hot spring resort where you can spend some luxurious time.

This was my first time staying at Goen no Mori, and I...

This was my first time staying at Goen no Mori, and I arrived without a plan, but the staff gave me some great recommendations for places to visit, which I enjoyed. I also had some fun encounters with locals, which was so much fun. The food at Goen no Mori was so delicious, and I was so grateful for the warm hospitality of the staff that I decided to stay again in two weeks. Yugawara's shrines, parks, cafes, and day-trip hot springs... I felt like I was cleansed in both body and mind.
