Amazing location, directly at the beach with great views of the Indian Ocean and a small, though beautiful and well-maintained garden where you can hear the birds. Rooms are spacious and clean. You can choose breakfast from a menu and it is cooked fresh. On Friday evenings there's a barbecue, with lots of choices. Highly recommended. An ideal place to relax. Staff is very welcoming.

Great location, close easy walk to the beach, grossery shop, restourants, bakery, bars…all you need. Our room was huge on ground floor, very comfortable bad, 2 pillows. Very clean. Great value for money. We would stay again here.

It has a nice atmosphere, staff is very helpful and friendly! Its a little house with everything you need. I like to cook and when the stove didnt work properly they switch me to another room where everything was working and they carried my luggage for me. Thanks again! The pool is nice and good tempratuur for swimming in the evening.

Tombo House is an incredible hidden gem in Diani Beach, Mombasa, that ticked all the boxes for me. I wanted to reconnect with nature, switch off from my devices, relax, eat good food and enjoy the tropical weather that Mombasa had to offer. Tombo House was the perfect hideaway to do that. Its grounds are incredibly well looked after, and the gardens were absolutely stunning to walk around, all well-maintained and beautiful. The room itself (Deluxe double with a balcony) exceeded my expectations - it was extremely clean, well decorated and was very calming to stay there. The bathroom was clean, as was the bedroom and hallway, and the balcony had the most incredibly mountain view with lots of trees and monkeys that came to say hello in the early morning or early evening. I was pleased that the room had mosquito nets on the windows, which meant I could fall asleep to the birds and crickets at night without getting eaten alive by the mozzies. It was also really relaxing to have the windows open when it lashed down with tropical rain! I really loved the breakfast, too. I enjoyed waking up early to enjoy a selection of fresh fruits, delicious German sweet bread (and all the condiments and jams), and the two ladies who made me delicious eggs and bacon every morning. I also loved the morning playlist in the dining area, although it did feel like groundhog day sometimes because I kept hearing the same song every day (John Mayer) but I didn't mind, it was very relaxing and I loved the songs. Great music taste by the way. I LOVED the garden with the gorgeous pool and sun beds, and the staff were incredibly helpful with everything. Thank you Nora, your partner as well for his friendliness, Eunice is the best, as is Vanessa, the two men maintaining the garden were friendly, as were the security team. Kira and the other pooch!!! I felt very safe travelling alone here and it's all thanks to you guys. Thank you. Will definitely come back again! P.S.

    Perfect.

    Perfect. I wrote a previous outstanding review but Booking.com only posted my two comments from “suggested improvements”, which were inconsequential but gave a negative impression. The property was lovely, steps from an amazing white sandy beach fringed with coconut palms. I loved lolling on the comfy cushions on the roof terrace in the evenings. Cecilia who looked after us was amazing and a great cook. Her fish curries were to die for. The bed was comfy and the mosquito nets a great asset. The community pool was well maintained with a fabulous on site masseuse, Habiba. Amazing relaxing vacation would highly recommend.

    Mostly private resorts however not far from Diani and accessible from Mombasa. The Likoni Ferry (which is the only way from Mombasa Island to the south) can take some time to cross- we took almost three hours when we first arrived.

    You will need a mosquito repellet especially in the evenings. Fortunately, there was one in the house we could use when we first got there before we could purchase one! Thanks to the host! You need to pre-arrage your movement from Tiwi to wherever you want to go as there is no public transport nearby. The host however had contacts for a reliable driver that was very helpful!

    A very exclusive part of the south coast strip quite within the interior though with not much access to alot of accessible points but great as a destination for relaxation, rejuvenation and family vacation.

    Tiwi is very lovely place to stay.

    Tiwi is very lovely place to stay. Not crowded and does not lookvery commercial. Lovely beach without any beachboys and where you can lie at peace. Good security as well. Far yet near to Mombasa town
