It is a clean and quiet location in a rural area. I used it to arrive early at Baekdamsa Temple. I think it is best suited for families with a car.

We loved the design and all the little details that made it feel like a true British hotel. The view from the bedroom was also lovely. The location was perfect, as it was just a 5 minute walk to the park and the centre of sokcho was also reachable by bus/taxi.

The views from the room were amazing! Check in was easy. There were a lot of restaurants that were in walking distance.

As many other reviewers point out, the hotel is quite old and the rooms are quite basic. That being said, everything was clean and you can tell this used to be a resort hotel. The surroundings are really fantastic - with direct access to the shortest trail up to the mountain peak. Beware that the hike is ~1300 m of elevation and can take 7 or so hours. It will take a toll on your legs. Going back the hotel, the absolute best thing we took the most advantage of were the baths. The spa facility was really wonderful with different baths and hot springs to choose from. Well worth it for a nature stay with some exercise and some quality relaxing.
