Great location in a quiet residential setting a short walk from Castries centre, Vigie beach and also within reasonable distance to the ferry terminal. The apartment is nice, modern and spacious with a reception area that leads onto the kitchen and bathroom, with the bedroom down at the end. Excellent air-conditioning in the bedroom that can be activated by Alexa as well as a TV with a host of different channels. Big shout out to Rosemund for all his help and advice for the local area, not to mention the lift to the ferry terminal when I was running late on the morning of my departure. Highly recommended.

    If you want to get around to other islands and Gros Islet Street Party, make sure you negotiate the price for a round trip. Make SURE you emphasize round trip. Some taxi men are so money hungry and will give you a price of round trip, but then try and tell you they meant one way. DON'T let them do that. Get clear clarification for your round trip.

    Castries is a harsh city. Not violet.

    Castries is a harsh city. Not violet. But difficult to spend time in. It's not setup for tourists who are not in a resort or on a cruise. There are very few sit-down atmospheric restaurants and bars. It's a city for the locals and its a poor community. Everyone I met was very nice and friendly. They are wonderful people. But it's not what you might call 'charming'. The roads and traffic are a nightmare and a day here is enough. Rodney Bay is a much more vacation friendly place. I mostly enjoyed my stay here, but be prepared for confronting the results of colonial abuse and corruption. Frankly the locals are demonstrating a high degree of humility, love and forgiveness despite what our western ancestors have done to them, and are still doing. I learned something very important about western entitlement by staying here.

    Castries town centre is charming with a nice market and...

    Castries town centre is charming with a nice market and several excellent restaurants. People of St.Lucia are really friendly and always happy to help you out. There are plenty of shops stocking local and some international goods, especially the shops on-route to Rodney Bay. Choc beach near Castries was beautiful, clean & quiet with very calm sea waves. Excellent for swimming including children. We found the beach to be very quiet all day long with only a handful of people passing by, so ideal for sunbathing too. The Sunsets are magical.

    I enjoyed the Cacoa Chocolate Factory and the chocolate.

    I enjoyed the Cacoa Chocolate Factory and the chocolate. The mud bath; the water falls the botanical gardens and the Piton mountains. It’s mountainous which makes for very beautiful views of the island.

    I enjoyed Castries.

    I enjoyed Castries. Getting around is an adventure - coming from a place where we drive on the other side of the road. It's not difficult to adjust. The people, in general, are mostly friendly. Except for restaurants, no one takes larger bills and the banks close early. The food was great everywhere we went and it's a beautiful island! I'll certainly vacation here again!

    Castries is a gem of a city with so much to love. The stunning harbor views and lush surroundings create a beautiful backdrop for any visit. The Castries Market is a must-visit, brimming with vibrant colors and local flavors. The warmth and friendliness of the locals truly stand out, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Exploring the city's cultural landmarks and enjoying its delicious cuisine added to our wonderful experience. Castries offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that made our stay incredibly enjoyable."     We were only there for one night. We weren't happy with the room we were initially given but they rectified this immediately. The food at the fine dining was excellent. Staff are very helpful. The hotel organised a free tour to Pidgeon Island, with stops at other places of interest in the north of the island, for guests, with lunch included, which was much appreciated. The location is outside Castries but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

    Perfect location if arriving or leaving by ferry, but there a short steep uphill section on the way to the hotel. Also only a short walk into central Castries. It has a hostel vibe because there is a lovely common area on the balcony with great views over the harbour and downtown. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The room was basic but spotlessly clean.

    What you see on the photos is exactly what you get. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and the area around is much better than you expect after using google maps. There is a bar right next door (try the burgers!), a supermarket and a bakery are nearby and the busses to Castries stop right before the door. With an aircon we would give 11 instead of 10 :-)

    María the host is an amazing person, very helpful and kind. The location is good for exploring the island, it’s just south of the capital Castries. We used the kitchen to cook our own meals which was great. The wifi worked well.
