Animals Ahangama is an absolute gem. The boutique design is stunning — cozy, stylish, and full of character. It truly feels like a home away from home. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the rooms are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The staff are wonderful — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. You can really feel the care they put into making your stay special. I loved every moment here and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, feel-good stay in Ahangama.

This hotel is so amazing, its built beautifully and is one of a kind. You're right up on the hill and its very peaceful and quiet, feels like you're at your own little excluded hideaway. The staff are fantastic, everyone is so helpful and the food is 10 out of 10. Try the Crispy Barramundi, yum!

Very friendly owners, small and cozy place, newly modern build, good pool. The owner helped out with planning safari day trip, which we really enjoyed! Definitely recommend, 10 out of 10 would come back!!

We enjoyed nature surround the hotel and in the garden. Very peaceful and quiet atmosphere. There are only four rooms, so not a lot of guests and private feel. The pool is clean and big (25 m and 1,5 m deep). Breakfast were very tasty - with local fruits, coconut water, coffee/tea and whatever is asked for breakfast. On the day we went to safari, we even had early breakfast. Manager Janaka took delicate care of everything and made our stay even more pleasant.

Beautiful, mind blowingly beautiful. I cannot stress how dazzling this property is! The staff…wow! They’ll, literally, give the clothes off their back to help you (we needed a belt, & this guy just pulled it off his pants & gave it to us! ) It’s expensive. But if you can afford it, you cannot find a better place. It was recommended by @shmit_happens (Instagram) & I’m so grateful!

Great location, great rooms, and an amazing view from the balcony just across from the ocean. Hashan and the staff at Hotel Sanmark were such great people and were inctedibly helpful all the way from when I landed in Sri Lanka to when I left, organising airport pick up and drop off, scooter rental, and even a home-cooked meal. I had a great time - thanks so much Hashan and the team!

Nice hotel in a more quiet area away from the main road, very friendly and helpful staff, the best breakfast with lots of fruits and freshly made rotti (included). The room was very nice with a small fridge and a hot water shower.

Ahangama is so peaceful - it's slightly away from the busier areas around the coast. The restaurants around are in great locations, and all very calm with great vibes. It's also very easy and quick to get to neighbouring towns to visit sites, or restaurants in those locations as well.

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

We loved everything about our stay at The Find. The vibe and the staff were excellent, the location was great and the room amazing. The overall aesthetics were 10/10 from the moment you entered the lobby and no detail has been spared - including a full length mirror in the room (which in Sri Lanka is rare!). Also a great area to chill downstairs by the pool or the bar, lots of shade and direct access to the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be booking here again.

Manu and the crew were super responsive and helpful. Wifi was the best i have seen in sri lanka outside co-workings. It is super quiet and only walking distance from the beach and all the eating and party places. They also arranged yoga and surf classes as well as the airport drop. We felt truly unrushed. Highly recommend!

The view was breathtaking, amazing decor, great community vibe. The staff were great and so was the breakfast. The surfing being included was a fantastic extra, and the best instructors we had during our time in Sri Lanka. Could not of been a better finish to our 2 weeks.
