Everything about The Find was great! The room was spacious with plenty of room to store your things, and the interior looked exactly like in the pictures (just a note that not all rooms have a hammock). The views from the balcony overlooking the ocean were absolutely stunning. You can also enjoy sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The host and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even though the hotel is located next to the main road, it wasn’t disturbing at all. The beach is right next to the hotel, and you can swim directly from the property, just be mindful of the rocks. And there's of course pool as well. And as a bonus, I had the best coffee and coconut of my whole trip here! The hotel truly stands out from the rest – super chill vibes, beautiful aesthetics, and just an all-around amazing atmosphere. Miles has done a fantastic job creating this space. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at Animals! We loved it here so much we doubled our stay because the place is just a dream. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "budget rooms" at first, which is just 10 seconds from the pool and dining area. Even though it's called a budget room, it's spacious & very well maintained and has a lovely garden, and the rooms have a large bathroom, a dressing and a terrace. The other days we spend in the double rooms in the main building which are like you're staying inside of a Pinterest moodboard. We got the privilege to meet the Swedish couple who owns the hotel & designed it into an absolute gem. They are just the best people, we talked for many hours & went surfing with them & learned so much about Swedish & Sri Lankan life during our talks. The breakfast included has so many options tot choose from and the coffees are actually the best we had in Sri Lanka. If you would be unfortunate that there is no room available in the hotel, do yourself a favour and come have lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed! Even though we travelled a lot and visited so much nice hotels & resorts, we never had the same experience like we had at Animals! The biggest thank you to Nalin, Samon, Anndala & Arvid for making us feel so welcome! ♥️

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. Everywhere you look is absolutely breathtaking. The people who work there are just lovely and make you feel very welcome and well taken care of. I didn’t want to leave the property but Ahangama is amazing and you should be explored. All in all - wonderful stay and I would go back in a second!

Everything and anything!!! This place is a paradise on earth… truly magical! It’s 3 min by Tuk Tuk, or motorbike from the beach, which is just what you need to be away from the main road. It’s completely immerse in nature and next to the lake… endless numbers of animals and birds surround the property. You have a natural sounds playlist 24h a day!! The owner Andy, and the manager Yanaka + the cooks are the nicest and kindest persons, and they truly do everything to make your stay perfect!! The rooms are incredibly well decorated, huge and super clean with any type of facility!! The garden, overlooking rice fields, is a park itself. You can also get a massage booked or do yoga and breathwork under one of the many trees!! A true place for the soul 🌴🍉🥥 will be back soon

Beautiful, mind blowingly beautiful. I cannot stress how dazzling this property is! The staff…wow! They’ll, literally, give the clothes off their back to help you (we needed a belt, & this guy just pulled it off his pants & gave it to us! ) It’s expensive. But if you can afford it, you cannot find a better place. It was recommended by @shmit_happens (Instagram) & I’m so grateful!

We had an amazing time in Ahangama thanks to our lovely host Kamal and his very kind family that were extremely helpful and accommodating. Kamal would help us with everything we needed I.e. transport, laundry, travel tips and even my laptop repair. He always made sure we were happy and safe. He also prepared an exceptional breakfast with a lot of choices every day :) The accommodation is in good location very close to Kabalana beach. I would recommend to anyone that appreciates a real family feel quality time in Sri Lanka :) We would be very happy to come back :)

Thanks to Hashan and his staff our stay has been wonderful. We spent 4 nights, using big and clean swimming pool with our 6 years old child. Best breakfasts we have had in Sri Lanka :) 2 big beds clean room with big bathroom and outside sea front terrace. Hashan and staff always helpful and kind, we will miss you all.
