This hotel is, with no doubt, the best hotel in Hikkaduwa (and probably in Sri Lanka) The location is perfect, the rooms are amazing (well organised, incredible views, all the amenities you can need, soft towels, good coffee and tea…), the breakfast is the best one we have had in Sri Lanka (awesome!!!), the pool is fantastic and the staff is the best that the hotel keeps…thanks to Franzi for all the recommendations, attentions and care ❤️). We really didn’t want to come back home 🥹. The relation quality-price can’t be better and I do not understand yet why the hotel just keeps 5 stars! Should be at least 6! Really, the best place in Sri Lanka for relaxing, surfing or enjoying the sun. We will be back as soon as we can Thanks!!!

The owner and his family were very kind and generous. Owner's wife welcomed us with a cup of hot soup. That was very delicious. Room was clean and calm. They also arranged a private car for us to go to the airport at a very reasonable price. We were fortunate to spend our last days in Sri Lanka at this hotel.

My stay at Scenery River Star Hotel was truly unforgettable. Nestled by the riverbank, this hotel offers a breathtaking view and a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, particularly the noise of Hikkaduwa. This was the most exceptional hotels I have stayed at, not just in Sri Lanka, but all my travels. The hotel is situated on the beach with a more than spacious room and sophisticated amenities. However, what made this hotel stand out was the way the staff treated us. They were proactive in their hospitality and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant and even the MD of the Resort personally came up to me and ensured that I was having an exceptional stay.
