Everything! The atmosphere, the staff, the cabana and the food. The place is just lovely and the views are breathtaking. I am definitely coming back next time I am in Sri Lanka. Wish I could have stayed longer. This was the best out of all the places I stayed during my travels around the country. They just do everything a little better than others.

Location at the lonely beach near Pottuvil Point was beautiful and also way less crowded with the surrounding farmlands. Chilled hide-out compared to party-tourism at Arugam Bay main beach. We’ve even seen an elephant at Pottuvil Point. Staff and manager were super friendly, extremely helpful and took care that the place felt like home - and hands-down: best hotel food in our entire Sri Lanka round travel - looking forward to receiving your Dhal receipe :)

This was an awesome place for our holidays with our kids. The hotel has 6 bungalows around the pool and it's nice to get in contact with everyone. As the place is not too big, it's safe for the kids to run around. The staff loved playing with them. The food in the restaurant was good! The owners of the hotel, Catherine and Michel, always helped us organizing our little trips. We would recommend this hotel to anyone :)

One of the best hotels we've been in Sri Lanka. The rooms are big and clean and wach hast a lovely small garden. The pool area is small but very well maintained and the food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. We would come again and again.

Located near the bay, and main street however in quiet area. The facility is new, rooms are nice, bed comfy and bath clean. Outside, there is a patio where you can relax. There was also fridge freezer and small kitchen available. Great place.

Everything is perfect. It’s a great distance from the centre of town, easy walking and far enough away to be out of the hustle. The family is so nice and extremely friendly and welcoming. I think it’s the best place in Arugam, for price, location, the room. They also make delicious food.

All was perfect. Clean, nice, fresh room. Bathroom ess in excellent conditions (wich is not always easy to find). And the best: Suju! He took care of us, helped, and was really kind. I really recommend this hotel.

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.

still relatively not crowded by the locals due to the distance, and miles of unspoiled, beautiful, isolated beaches to be found. Surfers paradise, but the seas can be a bit rough for the average sea goer. accommodation can be a bit overpriced during season but you can find some reasonable accommodation if you search and ask around.

Best And Best Place + ❤️Hidden Gem in Arugum Bay!❤️Location is perfect to everything you need (restaurants, beaches, convenience stores). Property nestled well within nature with a Huge tree keeping the property cool in the afternoons, a hangout area and a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal. Marina Way staff are the friendliest I've met in Arugumbay and work hard everyday to make sure the property is always looking neat and clean! Thank you to Ameen and his great team for being so accommodating!

Oruwa was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. We really enjoyed that it is 10 minutes away (by tuk tuk) from the busy Main Street in Arugam bay as it was much more chilled out. The staff were incredible - the restaurant manager Firoze made our stay extra special, he was so attentive and kind and made sure all of our needs were met. What a guy! The owner of the hotel was also very nice and helpful with booking trips & excursions and everybody couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy.

I had a wonderful stay with my husband, and I would like to give a special thanks to all the friendly hotel staff. The breakfast was delicious with an option for Sri Lankan or English breakfast . The location is great, it’s located near the shops, restaurants and beach. The swimming pool is very big, and really refreshing & relaxing! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back here when we go to Arugam Bay again.

We stayed at several different hotels during our time at Arugam Bay. Rams was not only the best value for money, but was also the most comfortable, clean and enjoyable stay that we had. The cafe/library attached was beautifully constructed with great food/coffee and was a great place to relax and talk to new people.
