It is one of the most beautiful places I have found in Sri Lanka. This unique property is located 4 km from the Rock Temple and 15 km from Tangalle. Here you are in absolute peace and nature. This place is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. The animal kingdom in the immediate area is impressive. Small, curious moss-covered water turtles swim in the lake and water buffaloes can be seen in the distance. Across the lake a peacock has its nest in the tree and there are beautiful birds to observe. The villa is newly built and therefore the entire furnishings are new. There are huge glass fronts with curtains that you can open to be directly in nature. The food was absolutely fresh and tasted excellent. I can recommend fish curry and shrimp :-) The host was very friendly and helpful. I can absolutely recommend this place to enjoy the real nature and relax.

Everything about this stay was exeptional from the comfort of the room to the quality of the breakfast and the cleanliness was brilliant. This was topped off by having the perfect host/owner. If you are visiting tangalle this place is a MUST to stay. I CANNOT reccoment enough. We would stay here again in a breath

Excellent hostel! Lovely clean rooms, a quote and comfortable atmosphere with lots of places to chill and great complimentary coffees. An ideal location in Hirikitiya. The owner went above and beyond when we fell ill so that’s another plus.

Halcyon is totally unique in its location, decor and ambience. It’s truly a slice of heaven. You get chat to other guess which is rare in some hotels. Super nice and perfect located accommodation in the heart of Hiriketiya. The next ATM and supermarket is just 5 minutes by walk. Moreover the Hiriketiya Bay ist just a 5 minutes walk away. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Feels super safe and comfortable.All rooms are equipped with Air condition and hot water. I will definitely come back.

The owner is very welcoming, always willing to help, the accommodation is very close to the ocean, you can bathe and swim. For us it was the best accommodation in SriLanka. The owner's son helped us get to the bus, free of charge, and stayed with us until we boarded.
