The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had strong water pressure with hot water, and great air-con. It says ‘Eric~South Korea’ I guess because I’m here now. I’m from California and I’ve traveled 126 countries. I was very sick when I arrived at the hotel. I slept long time. When I woke up, I came out and the first thing they did was offer to bring breakfast at 11:30am on several plates. That never happened to me in Cal., any other state in my country, and no other time in these other countries, except this place. When was the last time you were offered the complimentary breakfast at 11:30am?!

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from...

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

I loved everything they have amazing vibe, nothing was to much trouble . All staff kind and helpful. Dambulla is quiet but has local shops, cafes Pizza Hut, great small restaurant a few miles from Evergreen serving very good food. It's run by the people who run Evergreen. So recommended by me.. Anything you want to do or go and see will be arranged for you Tuk Tuk guy is a staff member . If you need car/driver it will be arranged.

The staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was am amazing assortment of classical Sri Lankan food. The hotel had a comfortable bed , airconditioning and all the standard hotel amenities like a kettle, soap, tea and coffee. There is also a water dispenser downstairs to fill up water if you need. (no shampoo or conditioner) The pool is brand new and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in dambulla

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and clean room. Very quiet during our stay as there were not many guests. Has a bar with good prices. We loved the clean pool. There is a bus station right on front of the hotel to get to dambulla center in 5 minutes.
