This lady is a BOSS! Best host ever, she fully understood what we needed and arranged the best driver for us to have an amazing tour trough the old city! We were the second lucky guests in her completely new room. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night, otherwise we would have stayed longer and booked a cooking class.l, because her food was the best we had in Sri Lanka!

The location is good being on the lake with a walking path. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and balcony. The meals served are great, tried breakfast, lunch and dinner here and all were fantastic. I recommend.

Nimal was really nice, hospitable and always willing go an extra mile, anything you need he will find it. He arrange a bicycle for free and went to see the temples around. Also companied me to see the sunset in his bike. He is a good man will take you to eat at local and cheap places. Thanks 😊

Breakfast was great! This was arranged under a shady 'Arjun Tree' (Kumbuk in Sinhala) in the charming compound filled with bird calls, butterflies right in front of the room. It was so appealing, appetizing, delicious and wholesome. The hospitality of the owners of the Golden Gate Ceylon was great indeed. The place is so quiet, secure and peaceful. You will really feel the tranquil.

The staff was amazing, especially Hetti! He was the sweetest. He akkoord us to cook our own food, he even helped us cook and after he insisted on doing the dishes for us! The room was really comfortable, the bed is super soft and the AC is amazing! The location is also perfect, in the middle of Anurhadapura! We would 1000% recommend this place! 🫶 Lots of love from the Netherlands x
