We are extremely happy to have spent two days at the Capoe house. It was better and more beautiful than we had expected. We were picked up by the Ranger and got a little private Safari tour as he’s an expert of the local animals. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful, and we receive the warm welcome with a High Tea. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful few as well as a big and clean bathroom. As it was Valentine’s Day, they had decorated the bed with flowers and given us a complementary heart shaped cake. There was definitely good and enough food and drinks and outdoors activity, you can for example get a private trip to the near waterfall without extra costs. There was also a yoga mat available and room service at all times.

This was the most incredible location with stunning views and also so relaxing. It was a beautiful stay and the staff were so friendly. We told Rafael it was our honeymoon and he organised surprise decorations for us at our room and dinner. Vipula was also very helpful and friendly. We loved loved loved our stay and would highly recommend it. It felt like we were alone in the clouds and the pool is one of the nicest we have swam in. The food was wonderful and well priced and so were the drinks

Amazingly beautiful panoramic views over the mountains from the bed, the balcony, and even the hallway (we were on the second floor). The guesthouse is located in a peaceful and relaxing environment, in the middle of pretty tea fields. The room and the bed are very comfortable, as well as the pillows and bedsheets. The shower is nice and hot. Fast wifi. The owners are so kind! They welcomed us with a whole pot of tea, and they serve a lovely breakfast and dinner. We loved our it so much here that we extended our stay.

We highly recommend this hotel! The staff is exceptional—always attentive and ready to assist with anything we needed. The food was so good, thanks to a talented chef who adapted the menu to suit our requirements. Everything was fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. Our family of 10 stayed at this hotel over Christmas, and we were all extremely satisfied and happy with our choice. The garden and swimming pool were wonderful bonuses. We initially hesitated between several cities in the tea region, but choosing Haputale turned out to be perfect. It’s a charming village with only locals and no mass tourism, offering a truly authentic experience. One morning, we woke up early, took a tuk-tuk, and visited Lipton’s Seat—it was magical! The colors and landscapes made it one of our most memorable moments in Sri Lanka. We also had the chance to take the train from Haputale station, which added to the experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay in the mountains, don’t hesitate—this place is perfect!

Beautiful and peaceful location with a river in the Back yard. Surrounded by greenery and forest. Lasantha and staff are warm and friendly and went above and beyond. I was leaving early morning to Horton Plains for a hike and they had a packed lunch ready for me at 4 am! The food was traditional and tasty. There are 3 cottages for accommodation with good wifi, comfortable bed and hot water.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.

The view from the balcony was breathtakingly beautiful. Dilshan, the host arranged a tuk tuk for us from railway station to the property and he didnt even charge for it. Offered us tea and coffee and was very friendly. Overall loved the experience of staying here. Adisham bungalow is at a walking distance from this place and the tea plantations can be see from the balcony and you can also hike through them during day time to enjoy the view from up above.

The location is the best of the worse for those who are doing the Pekoe trail. Stage 11-12. It offers a breathe-taking view of the valley below. The owners gave us such great hospitality. The room was clean it gave us a much needed respite from a long day of hiking. If you are taking the pekoe trail, there is a shortcut to the location which is slightly off track. It’s short but intense but could save you 30mins to an hour. I suggest that you take it. Dinner and breakfast was sooooo good. Really nice after a long day of hiking
