Stunning, brand-new, incredibly friendly hotel. First of all, this property looks exactly like it is in the pictures: private, luxurious, comfortable, and beautiful. There are only 11 rooms including the superior room with a huge terrace. All rooms have balconies or terraces, so you can enjoy your time looking at the beach and ocean waves or busy and funny Hikka’s streets. In your room, you will have everything you might possibly need. You won’t want to leave that bed, it's so comfortable and was made for your best sleep. The pool is big and clean, you will have plenty of options for where to get your tan: on big beds, on covered or open chaise lounges, on the grass, or near the pool. The territory itself isn't that big, but it's well taken care of, clean and functional. You can get access to the 360• view terrace or enjoy some time in the gym. There is a bar and a kitchen for your comfort, you should definitely get some milkshakes and Caesar salad! We have walked near almost every hotel on Hikkaduwa’s beaches and even big, branded and famous ones aren’t even close to Dormero. As for breakfast, you can get a traditional one or choose one of many options, including omelets, bowls, sandwiches, waffles, and many more. No matter what you choose, it will be delicious. And it is very hard to even start talking about personnel. Everyone there has only one goal: to make your stay as good as possible. There are some securities, who constantly check on the property’s safety; barmen, who will make you the best cocktails; cleaners, who will clean up the room every day… And Franziska! What an angel! She will help you with ANYTHING, she will become the best hotel manager in your life, you won’t want to leave just because of her 🥹 We loved them all! (Also, there is a cute dog Kiki and monitor lizard that checks on you while you are getting sunbaths ☺️ ).

This hotel is excellent, which I never expected. Many hotel pictures show a more amazing beauty than it is. The real situation of Temptation is several times more than the picture. I have one thing to say, there is no such good hotel in Hikkaduwa like TEMPTATION. I would never hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. The friendly staff are always looking out for our comfort as well as our safety. Cleanliness is paramount. Will definitely come back

Our stay at Villa Kaya was perfect. The property itself was lovely, the rooms were big, spacious and clean with very comfy beds. The pool area was well kept, clean and relaxing. All of the staff at Villa Kaya including the night time security was amazing, so friendly and helpful. We seen lots of wildlife around, and the staff give you food to feed the local wild monkeys. Every day the property was cleaned, you see the staff working hard all day keeping everywhere in great condition. It is a good location, couple of minute walk to the main road, 5 minutes to the turtle beach. We loved our stay and will hopefully be back in the future.

Great location - the beach in front of the hotel is wide and sandy with hardly any people. Our room, the Presidential Suite was absolutely amazing. A huge beautiful space with great sea views. The breakfast space is lovely by the pool with cooling sea breeze. The staff are lovely - the transfers arranged by hotel with their driver were the best ones we had during our trip to Sri Lanka.

    Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

    Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

    The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

    I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

    I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

    Excellent location , Great food & , above all , brilliant helpful staff But … In need of refurbish. The rooms - especially bathroom needs to be updated. The AC unit Very noisy , even on lowest setting.

    Hikkaduwa is one of the best places to stay few days at the southeast coast of Sri Lanka. Very nice,clean beach with fine golden sand,many guest houses and hotels,restaurants. Easy to reach nearby historic Galle town by bus or train-ca 1/2hour, Bamian Buddha Statue/Tsunami museum in Peraliya or Seenigama Buddish/HinduTemple few hundred meters away.

    Great hotel in good location at quieter end of Hikkaduwa. Good to have the pool as the sea can be challenging here ( it is calmer a few hundred metres along the beach towards Hikkaduwa). Free loungers with towels on the beach. Our poolside room was very well furnished with plenty of sockets and large good quality bathroom. Food and drink very reasonably priced. Good breakfast and coffee. Best of all were the staff who are all very friendly and helpful.

    I stayed here while. In Sri Lanka and absolutely loved it! Very helpful and friendly manager Hasitha, He described attraction places of hikkaduwa. About the hotel It is very well maintained the rooms are very clean and the pool is okay. It also has a good room available. We had breakfast at first floor with sea view, and it was incredible. All you can eat on the ala carte menu. Would definitely stay here again. Great relaxing place

    Riff Hikkaduwa connects everything we have ever wanted from a hotel. The food served in all three restaurants was excellent. You could even try local Sri Lankan cuisine. The staff was super friendly and professional. Our room (Presidential Suite) was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped We had a breathtaking infinity pool on the balcony with a great view of the Indian Ocean.

    The staff, they were incredible and couldn’t have done much more for our stay. The hotel was lovely and the rooms were fantastic as was the pool. The hotel is a bit far from Hikkaduwa, make sure you don’t pay more than 700LKR for a tuk tuk there and back.
