At the same time, it is centrally located between Weligama and Ahangama, making it easy and quick to reach both. The hotel owner, Enrico, is a super friendly guy who genuinely cares about his guests, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment. I stayed 4 nights at Moringa Mirissa and it was a wonderful experience. On my birthday they surprised me and made me really happy – such a kind gesture! The staff are very helpful and friendly, breakfast was tasty, and the rooms are clean and modern. The garden is beautiful, and I especially loved the unlimited cold water. Such a quiet hotel close to everything and to the beach with its surfing spots. We loved the spacious rooms and very clean swimming pool. It was so practical to be there with children. We will come back!

In famous tourist areas, people tend to rip off foreigners...

In famous tourist areas, people tend to rip off foreigners just by looking at them, but this area wasn't as bad, and I was able to experience the peaceful, authentic Sri Lanka. Even early in the morning or late at night, small shops were open, so there was no shortage of food and drink, and it felt like a peaceful coastal village. There were some inconveniences, such as power outages due to the cyclone, but I think that was unavoidable. I was glad I had my mobile battery charged. To make this area a safer and more secure place to stay in the future, I hope that the local community will cooperate in improving infrastructure, language skills, separating waste for environmental protection, and cleaning and maintaining tourist attractions.
