Our room (budget double room) was basic but included everything we needed, besides we loved the whole aestetic of this place. The room service was excellent. Everyday when we came back from our morning surf the room was absolutely perfect. Enrico, the owner, is lovely and fun to chat to and gave us helpful tips surrounding the area. With KOMOREBI he truely build a special place where we felt very taken care of. The two cute little kittens were the cherry on top.

We had an amazing time at Animals! We loved it here so much we doubled our stay because the place is just a dream. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "budget rooms" at first, which is just 10 seconds from the pool and dining area. Even though it's called a budget room, it's spacious & very well maintained and has a lovely garden, and the rooms have a large bathroom, a dressing and a terrace. The other days we spend in the double rooms in the main building which are like you're staying inside of a Pinterest moodboard. We got the privilege to meet the Swedish couple who owns the hotel & designed it into an absolute gem. They are just the best people, we talked for many hours & went surfing with them & learned so much about Swedish & Sri Lankan life during our talks. The breakfast included has so many options tot choose from and the coffees are actually the best we had in Sri Lanka. If you would be unfortunate that there is no room available in the hotel, do yourself a favour and come have lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed! Even though we travelled a lot and visited so much nice hotels & resorts, we never had the same experience like we had at Animals! The biggest thank you to Nalin, Samon, Anndala & Arvid for making us feel so welcome! ♥️

This place is just heaven!! So gorgeous, comfortable and well taken care off. Beds are really good, and the rooms have everything you need. You don't hear traffic, yet it isn't far from the beach. Staff is really friendly, and the food is great (yummie breakfast!).. This was the vacation in our vacation!

Very nice, calm and beautiful place, we had a great time there, on the middle of green jungle, garden, we saw a lot of birds. The staff and all people are very helpful and nice, there is a beautiful swimming pool with unforgettable view. Tasty food, coffee, nice houses in the heart of the forest and trees. Beautiful, mind blowingly beautiful. I cannot stress how dazzling this property is! The staff…wow! They’ll, literally, give the clothes off their back to help you (we needed a belt, & this guy just pulled it off his pants & gave it to us! ) It’s expensive. But if you can afford it, you cannot find a better place. It was recommended by @shmit_happens (Instagram) & I’m so grateful!
