We had an incredible two-night stay with our family at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect! They generously upgraded our room free of charge, which made our experience even more special. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner offered a delightful mix of international and local cuisine, catering to all tastes. The rooftop pool was absolutely breathtaking, offering a mesmerizing and picturesque view that left us in awe. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again!

you get much more than you expect in this accommodation! Amazing breakfast, big pool with beautiful view, room with air conditioning and mosquito net. You will get the greatest love from the staff, we have never experienced such an attitude anywhere else. They are happy to help you with everything and always have a smile on their face. If we were to stay again near Kandy, I would never choose any other accommodation than Kandy Bird Villas. The main thanks go to the nice young man Vihan Thenuka, who made our stay very pleasant! ❤️

Kandy Myst by Cinnamon is an absolute gem in the heart of Kandy! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming — going above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. The rooms were cozy, modern, and spotless, with extremely comfortable beds that made for a perfect night’s sleep. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from the Temple of the Tooth and Kandy town. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious, offering a wonderful mix of authentic Sri Lankan dishes and international options, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The parking area was another highlight — spacious and directly connected to the lift and rooms, which made it super convenient.

This was my second stay. The place is surrounded by greenery, away from the noise of the city, and I was able to relax in peace. The room had a bedroom and a dining area, and I could connect via Bluetooth to enjoy music, which made for a very private and comfortable stay. The facilities, amenities, and natural interior design were all perfect. Thanks to the warm smiles and kind hospitality of Charuka and all the staff, I felt completely at ease and relaxed throughout my stay. Thank you so much!

Very nice hotel located on top of a hill with views of the city below. Not so close to Kandy, but if I would return I’ll stay there for sure. The room was very big and comfortable with amazing view. Staff was extremely kind and food was the best of the entire journey! They arranged a romantic dinner for us on the rooftop! ❤️

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do.

Kandy is a beautiful town with so much to see and do. It’s the perfect central base for exploring nearby highlights like Nuwara Eliya and other major sightseeing spots. The famous Kandy–Ella train ride is a wonderful experience with stunning views. Kandy Lake is lovely for an evening walk, and the local markets — especially the Sunday market — are absolutely worth visiting. The Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth) is a must-see; try to go in the evening when it’s cooler and the atmosphere is even more peaceful. Overall, Kandy is a charming town that offers culture, scenery, and convenience all in one.

Our trip around Kandy was truly memorable!

Our trip around Kandy was truly memorable! We loved visiting the Temple of the Tooth, strolling around the peaceful lake, and exploring the vibrant local markets. The botanical gardens were stunning, and everything was easy to reach from the train station. Great food, kind people, and beautiful scenery all around.

People advised us to have 2 days in Kandy - we would have been fine with just one. The weather did not help us it rained on and off the entire time we were there. Temple of the Sacred Tooth - tick - walk around the Botanical gardens - tick - Shopping DISMAL - Kandyan dance performance extremely touristy. I wish we had allocated an extra day for the hill country instead of Kandy, Best meal we had was at the Hideaway Lounge. Central market - awful fresh food and spices but seriously hideous tourist souvenirs. Old building needs renovation.

Kandy is an interesting historic city, with a number of must...

Kandy is an interesting historic city, with a number of must see sights - the Temple of The tooth, a walk around the lake, the Big Buddha. Peradeniya Botanical Gardens are just on the edge of the city. The market is bustling. If you are there in late July/early August you may catch the Perahera Festival - a parade of dressed elephants, fire whirlers, Kandy Dancers, Drummers and whip crackers.

The city centre is very polluted but there is a lot to see and it is worth exploring. I highly recommend taking a tuk tuk tour to visit the sights. We had an adventurous day out with Explore Kandy with Sajith Tuk Tuk Tours.

The location and the View was one of the best views I had seen from around Kandy. The rooms were all very spacious and comforting and the morning breakfast on the top of the hotel was my favourite part of the experience, getting to experience the view as well enjoy a breakfast out doors was just so refreshing in the mornings .The customer service was exceptional, the staff were helpful and so friendly. My experience was like no other and if I were to stay in Sri Lanka again I’d stay here for sure.

One of the best hotel at beautiful Kandy. Located bit far from the city centre. Bit hard to reach because of narrow road via mountains. But once we are reach the hotel so beautiful with amazing view. Fresh air, very greenery, calm and peaceful with warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Grand hills Kandy best place to be with your love once. Amazing old hotel with a classic elevator, high ceilings, bar and pool area, and possibly the best breakfast buffet I have sat at so far in Sri Lanka. The staff were super friendly and helpful, polite and smiling. If I had more time in Kandy, I would have stayed here for longer. The location by the lake is perfect and a short walk to every possible type of food you want. Across the road is an entrance to Sri Dalada Waruna temple so visit anytime.

Hidden gem outside Kandy. Stopped here for one night on our way from Sigiriya to Ella to break up the tuktuk drive a bit. Hotel is ran by very friendly guys and the room was great with a nice balcony with a view over the valley. Swimming pool was a great addition as we used it both that afternoon and the next morning before we left. Breakfast was also very good - best hoppers i had in Sri Lanka.

A very nice hotel close to the centre of Kandy, great location and amazing views over the main area of the town and lake. Hotel is a short 10 min Tuktuk ride to the train station. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with a great bed and bathroom. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine, but could do with do with some improvement.
