This hotel was a lovely surprise, beautiful, incredible staff, the best food! Especially the breakfast. It's 30 min away from Kandy but the peace, the nature, it's very much appreciated. And it's easy to request a tuk tuk to take you to the city.

My recent stay at Simpson’s Forest – Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa in Kandy was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Meenawatta Estate, the resort is a true sanctuary for those seeking tranquility, natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and care. A special thank you to Sachini (Front Office Executive) whose exceptional support throughout our stay made everything seamless. Her attention to detail and dedication to guest comfort truly elevated our entire experience. The design of the hotel strikes a perfect balance between elegance and nature. Surrounded by pristine landscapes, the property is immaculately maintained, with stunning gardens, flowering plants, and breathtaking mountain views in every direction. The air is fresh, the atmosphere peaceful—it’s the perfect escape from the busy world. One of the standout features of the resort is the infinity pool, offering a surreal experience as you swim above the forest canopy with panoramic views of the misty hills stretching endlessly beyond. I found myself returning to this spot every morning and evening—each moment more magical than the last. As part of their offering, the hotel provides a free guided tour around the surrounding area, which is a must. Walking through the tea gardens and forest paths, discovering the local flora and fauna, and soaking in the serene beauty of nature made me fall even more in love with this place. The restaurant deserves a five-star rating of its own. The food was consistently outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to Yatawara for his incredible hospitality and service. He went above and beyond to make each meal a delight, and his warmth made every dining experience feel personal and memorable.

This was a great place to stay in Kandy for us - a charming relaxed place full of character with really welcoming staff who offered us tea when we arrived and dropped us down to the station when we left. It was near enough to walk easily down to the centre and get a tuk tuk back, yet just out of the centre so you can get a peaceful night’s sleep. The bedroom was large and well equipped with hairdryer, toiletries, kettle etc and loads of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with large portions and varied each day. We could not ask for more. Thank you!

We hade a great stay. Rooms are big. Beautiful views from the room balcony. Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed eating both breakfast and dinner in the hotel. You can easily order car from hotel using uber or pickme.

Beautiful place, well maintained, luxurious, and spacious. The whole place is well maintained with a beautiful garden, and the interior decor is stunning. Unfortunately, we could not able to use the swimming pool, which is well maintained as well. The breakfast served is really impressive. The staff is so helpful with fulfilling our needs. Arranged laundry service for us which is very helpful.
