What a wonderful place and a great adventure. We love the location, the little house is super clean, no mosquitoes and the best natural swimming pool. The food is amazing and the owners very sweet and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it to the moon and back. Highly recommended. Also the organized guided tours delivered more than we could hope for.

A Perfectly Quiet Getaway with Stunning Views If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place for you. The property is small, with only two bungalows, making it perfect for a small group or family of up to four people. The best part? The views are absolutely breathtaking. Even on rainy days, you can sit on the terrace and watch the wildlife around you. At night, you'll fall asleep to the soothing sounds of nature – it’s truly a serene experience. The local owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, from preparing delicious dinners to guiding you through the rainforest. They even arrange transport for your next destination, which was a huge help. If you're seeking tranquility and natural beauty, this is an ideal choice. Highly recommended!

I'm a wildlife Photographer and I've been seeing Hemal as guide for several years now. He recently renovated the place as a guest house and it is fantastic. The place: The room was clean, AC and facilities are brand new and the view is exceptional! It is located a beautiful 10 minute walk from the park entrance, surrounded by green. And is directly next to the path that you would take for a night tour, which is a must in Sinharaja (And nobody is allowed to enter the Park at night). Hemal's wife is cooking and I doubt any of the luxury hotels near by will match the love and effort she put in every single meal. As it is common for Sri Lankan hospitality, they will always ask you if anything is missing or you have any special wishes and will drive to the nearest shop to buy it, without asking. The guide (Which is much more important in Sinharaja!): Hemal is known within the entire community as one who spots the most animals and knows so much about them. While all guides need to absolve basic training to become a guide, you can tell that he is truly passionate about the nature and he will tell you the English, Latin and partly the German names for most of the animals that we saw. You can also tell that he deeply respects the animals and the eco system and puts safety of you and the animals above anything. He grew up right in that village and he's is in the forest every day even on his days off so he always knows all the best spots!

The villa was beautifully designed, clean and comfortable, offering the perfect setting for relaxation. Nestled amidst tea estates, the location was both tranquil and rejuvenating. Situated between the Pitadeniya and Kurulugala entrances of the Sinharaja Forest Reserve. We absolutely loved the food. The staff’s warm hospitality and attentiveness truly elevated our experience, making it a stay to remember.

We arrived very late at this magical place which was very close to the park entrance and they cooked us dinner, everything was delicious and the family was truly welcoming. The cleanest house we've found so far and an atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

Best hotel of 6 in our entire trip. The area is amazing, the view is breathtaking. One can swim in the pool or in the river just outside the garden. The staff is extremely friendly, they have a sweet dog, fresh maracujas and lizards, warans and beautiful birds to give you the right jungle vibe. The water is warm, WiFi sometimes a little shaky but overall good. We will definitely come again!
