What an incredible experience we had at Lavender house. The welcoming staff were attentive but unobtrusive & our private butler went above and beyond and always had a refreshing cold drink at hand. Thanks Viduna! The meticulous grounds surrounded by breathtaking views & all the local wildlife was wonderful. Loved the fresh flowers in our room. The passionate chefs surprised us daily with quality & great attention to detail. Loved our private cooking class! This place will hold a special place in our hearts.

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children that booked three rooms at Bellwood. I had initially booked the hotel for the stunning views it offers, unfortunately we stayed during a cyclone. Despite this we had an amazing stay at Bellwood and it has become one of my personal favourite hotels of our stay. The hotel is beautiful with lovely large bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were extremely fun and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is a an extra journey from Kandy but worth the extra travel for its quiet picturesque location. The journey to and from the hotel adds to the experience of visiting Sri Lanka

Everything. It was the perfect escape for some much needed relaxation. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Special mention for Nana who took us on a tour of the organic garden where most (if not all) the restaurant food is grown on site. A wealth of knowledge from this man, explaining all the health benefits of each plant. The food was exquisite, so compliments to the chefs and kitchen. The dining experience was made by the manager Heradh, who was so enthusiastic and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed his warm nature. It was also our introduction to Ayurveda which made our entire Sri Lankan trip that much more enjoyable. There is an Ayurvedic doctor on site with whom you can meet with and she proscribes specific treatments tailored to your needs. Our therapists were also great, Mohamed and Tharanga both so warm, friendly and accommodating. This was one of our best stops on our Sri Lankan trip. Don’t rush this stay, we stayed 3 nights and we wish we had stayed longer.

The hotel is of course old, but the team is excellent - the rooms are renovated, the plumbing and bathroom are new and comfortable, there is hot water. The Windows overlook the road, but the view is of the mountains and greenery. The noise from the road is not audible if you close the windows. Breakfasts and dinners are super delicious. You can also order lunches. A wonderful woman cooks, you can warn about your preferences in advance - in general, all questions and wishes can be quickly and clearly resolved through Farvees (Operations Coordinator). The rooms are spacious, there is everything you need and an electric kettle and tea. Around the mountains, waterfalls and tea plantations factories, temples - we specially returned to these places after a trip to Noir Elia and Ella. The hotel itself has a lot of common comfortable spaces in the fresh air and under the roof - you can be alone or gather a company at the table, we used free billiards for guests. Special thanks to the Beautiful Shiva for an interesting and informative tour. The hotel has a good natural cosmetics and tea shop.

Fantastic new hotel, very unique interior design, stunning views from the terrace. We were super happy with everything and it was our favorite hotel during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. Jamaka was an amazing host and he really took good care of us. Food was amazing too.

This is a carefully designed small cottage. Compact but very comfortable. Out door sitting areas, stoned carved seats and bath tubs, swings, tree house nets. Kids loved it. We loved the peaceful nature and the calm environment.

The accommodation is special and beautifully set in a stunning natural environment. The staff were very kind and always willing to help, which made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The location of the bungalow was so beautiful and romantic. We were literally up in the mountains, and everywhere you look, its nature surroundings you. A little coxy home away from home.
