The moment we stepped into the room, we knew we were in for something special. Everything about it felt thoughtfully designed—spacious, clean, and infused with a quiet elegance. As dawn approached, we pulled back the curtains and were greeted by a sight that words can barely capture. The early morning sun slowly rose over the horizon, casting golden hues across the landscape. The sky transformed into a canvas of soft pinks and fiery oranges, and the light danced gently on the surface of the nearby dam. It was a moment so breathtaking, so pure, that even a million dollars couldn’t buy the feeling it gave us. The view of the dam itself was equally enchanting. Calm waters stretched out peacefully, reflecting the changing sky like a mirror. Birds skimmed the surface, and the surrounding hills stood quietly in the background, as if watching the sunrise with us. It wasn’t just a view—it was an experience, a memory etched into our hearts. In that quiet, golden hour, the room became more than just a place to stay. It became a sanctuary, a front-row seat to nature’s most exquisite performance.

This is such a lovely place! We ended up here because another hotel had a double booking. We planned om staying only 2 nights and ended up staying 5 nights. It is such a relaxing place and the hosts are so incredibly welcoming and caring... Absolutely lovely. Do not expect a fancy hotel, but an sincere, cosy homestay/guesthouse with hosts that are simply beautiful people. Also the food was just great!

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.

A good base for Adams Peak.

A good base for Adams Peak. It's about a 20-minute tuk-tuk ride away. It's a relaxed, local village with local shops instead of large supermarkets. Adams Peak is actually the main reason to go there. The surrounding area is also very beautiful.
