We were looking for accommodation near the katharagama and we encountered the accommodation of Diana and his husbands place. It is soooooo beautiful, a real pearl in the middle of a green jungle and a paddy field. Two EXCELLENT (((((!!) clean room equipped with everything you need, beautiful setting, beautiful room (we moved the outside bathroom). Diana and his husband are very helpful, very welcoming, open-minded and are excellent hosts. we were offered a local dinner on site (not too spicy for tourists), super good!!!. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. they organized the village Safari Tour for us free of charge. We had a great driver and a terrific safari. Excellent local breakfast! I recommend this hotel 100%. Unbeatable value for money! If we had not already booked an accommodation in galle, - we would have stayed another one or two nights. People. Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. You can see somany peacocks around the hotel. Very mind relax. You dont feel any stress. Their meel also very good vilage type. Rooms comfortable excellent .like 5* hotel.

Great swimming pool. We had safari with them and it was perfect- we saw a lot of wild animals. I recommend to book group safari with them.

Lovely spot to relax on the terrace after a hot day, we had a really good night's sleep and the most delicious rice and curry. It's a good starting point for a safari and you'll get all the help you need from here. The staff is super friendly and helpful!

We had such a beautiful stay at My Resort Yala. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and cared for - the staff really want to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This is evident in the facilities - air con, good fans, filtered water in the room, mosquito nets (even though there weren’t many mosquitos), a fridge, a hair dryer, adapters to suit every country’s appliances. My favourite - bicycles. This allowed us to ride around town - a thoroughly enjoyable way to see the place. We did an afternoon safari and managed to see a sloth bear! Along with so many other animals - many elephants, crocodiles, deer, bird species, mongoose, jackals, goannas (probably forgetting a lot here). The leopard eluded us. My husband and I have been on safari in Africa so we thought maybe we’d be underwhelmed - but it was awesome. The pool was great for my kids. The temperature was just right. Breakfast was tasty and very generous, and the place has such a peaceful outlook over the rice fields. All of this for such good value. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a lovely stay.

Excellent, exceptional care, near beautiful lake, where you can watch the birds, owner is very helpful, they also cook there. Short walk to town, small shop on the corner. Internet working well. They book you Safari tour so you do not have to worry about anything. Nice open space common area.

Extremely enthusiastic owner ready to bend over backwards to make the client happy. Able to arrange safari trips, scooter rentals, take you to bus station etc. Excellent home cooked dinner by owner's wife, a true masterchef, food for two could feed six, worth the value of the stay alone. Awesome Welcome & Farewell drinks, take away breakfast ready at 5:30 for our early morning safari trip, couldn't ask for more. Would rate 11 out of 10!!

We loved this place! Wonderful homestay overlooking the lake. The owner has created a very comfortable room- lovely 4 poster bed with comfy mattresses and pillows, a huge dressing mirror, hairdryer, desk and chair and a stand to hang clothes, AC and TV. The rooms share a wrap around balcony and a nice terrace to have your meals. Gemunu and his wife made us a lovely dinner - hoppers and fish curry was delicious. The buffalo yoghurt with treacle is a must. We booked a half day safari through them. Chamara was a good guide and we even managed to see a leopard. Though we stayed only a night we loved it and hope to stay here again. Gemunu was really helpful in getting our laundry done for us - washed and folded. It was really appreciated. A fantastic base for your safari.

the lady is nice, always smiling. the room is super big, plus extremely clean. super clean. even cleaner than 5 star hotels I stayed! mango juice very nice. taste better than those in restaurants! price very affordable, even it is not in the downtown, but if you rent a car it is also a convenient place.
