Someone on here described this place as a piece of heaven and that pretty much sums it up (and I'm not a religious man). I ended up extending my reservation for an extra night as I couldn't miss the chance to stay another day. I requested the room furthest down the hill and, yes, there are stairs to get down there (not that many really), but how else would one expect to get down a hill? 🧐 This also meant the cabin felt secluded and the view had an uninterrupted jungle-y vibe. Both mornings I sat on my balcony as a baby monkey scrambled and launched wildly towards birds high in the treetops - its family just lounged unbothered as the sun peered over the smokey mountains - no helicopter parenting in the monkey world! The pool is stunning (rooms up here would have a similarly stunning view). I swam each morning and again in the afternoon upon my return after a day of exploring Kandy. Don't let the distance to central Kandy throw you off - Tuk Tuks are super fun and there's so much on the journey to stimulate the senses (dodging bigass cattle and the like) and you won't be needing to back-and-forth to town regardless. Staff were super kind and accomodating and the curry for dinner and egg hoppers for brekkie were the real deal. How's the rest of my trip going to match this? Would stay again no question.

EVERYTHING! it is a small hotel, located in a remote area, quiet, on the lake. The room was big, with a very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with both shower and tub. The terrace of the room offers spectacular view over the pool and lake. The food was very good, we ate here breakfast, lunch and dinner and we liked all meals! It offers an a la carte menu which we liked very much, we were sick of buffet style ... We tried also the massages, which were pretty nice as well. Last but not least, the personnel was very kind, attentive and always happy to help you with anything you want. They offer you a personal butler which is available anytime for you at a ring distance (they even give you a phone to call him directly when you need anything).

A special thank you to Sachini (Front Office Executive) whose exceptional support throughout our stay made everything seamless. Her attention to detail and dedication to guest comfort truly elevated our entire experience. The design of the hotel strikes a perfect balance between elegance and nature. Surrounded by pristine landscapes, the property is immaculately maintained, with stunning gardens, flowering plants, and breathtaking mountain views in every direction. The air is fresh, the atmosphere peaceful—it’s the perfect escape from the busy world. One of the standout features of the resort is the infinity pool, offering a surreal experience as you swim above the forest canopy with panoramic views of the misty hills stretching endlessly beyond. I found myself returning to this spot every morning and evening—each moment more magical than the last. As part of their offering, the hotel provides a free guided tour around the surrounding area, which is a must. Walking through the tea gardens and forest paths, discovering the local flora and fauna, and soaking in the serene beauty of nature made me fall even more in love with this place. The restaurant deserves a five-star rating of its own. The food was consistently outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Special thanks to Yatawara for his incredible hospitality and service. He went above and beyond to make each meal a delight, and his warmth made every dining experience feel personal and memorable.
