This is a family owned and operated business away from the noise of the town, in a tranquil setting. Sanjeev and Lalith were very welcoming, and included us in their family and friends celebration of Sinhalese new year, which was exceptional. Room 3 was very large, and the bathroom spacious and just right. A perfect setting for respite close to nature. The meals were the best we've had in 12 days so far in Sri Lanka!

You are completely in the nature, only animals and plant sounds, you can free your soul from the rest. The staff is very kind and treat you like a friend

Lovely authentic place. In our two weeks holiday with a lot of luxery resorts, this was the one we have the warmest feeling about. When you are looking for a not so touristic area, some magnificent views, a little farm life, and some great staff, go here. Oh and go for the Sri Lanken Kitchen, that’s better then the European:)

The furnishing of the rooms and layout of the property was exceptional. It's a well maintained building and the staff was always ready to deliver an exceptional service. The manager was very accommodating to our requests and ensured we had a comfortable stay.

We just had the most incredible 2-night stay at Blue Mountains View and we can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Host Pradeep and his adorable 6-week-old daughter Thia were so welcoming. Venue manager Dishani’s warmth and hospitality made our stay feel personal and special. She gave us a fantastic introduction to the farm, explained everything in detail, and provided great instructions for a walk to the nearby village (which we highly recommend – it’s a must-do!). Deshani’s care really made us feel like we were part of their family. We initially booked a non-A/C room by mistake, but Pradeep was kind enough to reorganize our stay and moved us to a comfortable A/C room, which was much appreciated. Do note that two of the rooms don’t have A/C, so make sure to check the room details if you prefer that extra comfort. The food at Blue Mountains View was truly a highlight. All meals are vegan, prepared with love by Pradeep’s mama, and every dish was absolutely delicious! We had breakfast and dinner at the farm, and the meals were so fresh and flavorful. As the food is vegan and we needed some protein, we bought some eggs on our way back from Sigriya, and Deshani kindly helped us have them cooked for both dinner and breakfast. Pradeep’s uncle Thisa took us on a special tour of the farm, which was a unique experience. We got to learn about the organic farming process and saw firsthand how they grow their crops. It was an insightful and heartwarming experience, and it made us appreciate the farm even more. Overall, our stay at Blue Mountains View was unforgettable. The combination of warm hospitality, incredible food, and the peaceful, beautiful surroundings made it an experience we’ll cherish. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dambulla and looking for a relaxing, authentic experience. Thank you, Pradeep, Thia, Deshani and Thisa for making our stay so special!

This place was an absolute experience! The views were seriously breathtaking and most of all if you are looking to relax, connect with nature and have the best time disconnecting this is the ideal place. The food served was really delicious as well. Would recommend this 100% to anyone travelling solo or with a family.

We initially worried about the location not being in the center of Dambulla, but we quickly realized that this turned out to be the best possible decision. Nestled in the tranquility of nature, the homestay offers a peaceful retreat away from the noise and chaos of the city while still being convenient. The logistics couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the main road connects you to public buses that run every few min and can take you anywhere you need. Whether you're heading to Dambulla, Sigiriya, or beyond, getting around is effortless and budget-friendly. What truly sets this place apart, though, is Ruwan, the host. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. His hospitality is unparalleled—he doesn’t just take care of his guests, he anticipates their needs. Whether it was helping us plan our day, organizing transportation, or sharing local tips, Ruwan was always there to make everything easy and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was a guided walk with Ruwan around the local area. As he shared stories and introduced us to native plants, we felt like we were experiencing a side of Sri Lanka that most visitors miss. And then there’s the homestay itself. The view from our window was magical—we were waking up to stunning sunrises. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Every meal was a feast of fresh, home-cooked goodness, bursting with authentic flavors. Sitting down to enjoy meals prepared with so much care felt special. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience, a home away from home, and a gateway to discovering the beauty of Sigiriya and Dambulla. We stayed two nights at Villa Mankani, it was amazing! The house we had was huge and modern, the bathroom was really nice and it was very clean. Most of the time we were alone and it was so quiet and relaxing. We also ate breakfast and dinner there - both were very delicious. The staff arranged tuk-tuks for us and even organized a trip to see the sunrise at Pidurangala. The location is great too: the Cave Temple and the town center are only about 10 minutes away. Thanks so much for everything – we loved this place and would definitely come again. It was magical!

The hotel is surrounded by nature and monkeys were running around the public area. It is a hotel you need to stay at.

We genuinely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. It felt like coming home – not to one mom, but to many welcoming moms. All the staff took such good care of us and made sure we had the best time. They had great tips on sightseeing and booked a fair priced tuktuk to drive us around Dambulla. The buffet was varied and delicious; the room and garden were tidy, beautiful and clearly looked after; the bed was super comfortable. We really hope we can come back one day.
