This place is truly a honeyland. The drive to the hotel offer beautiful views (see photo attached). We were met with great hospitality and kindness. The family was very welcoming, and their presence created a comfortable and homie atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner was great. Our room was in a new building on the property (see second photo below). It was big and luxurious, and exceeded our expectations. I would like to thank the Honeyland family again for our stay, and their kindness.

Immaculately maintained property. Gorgeous panoramic view from the room and balcony of mountains and lotus ponds. Spot egrets, parrots, butterflies and apparently loris. You can enjoy a late afternoon walk around the lake after a cooling swim in the pool. Return for the sunset and delicious rice & curry.

Superb, luxurious accommodation in remote location with stunning views. Good dinner and breakfast. Shame we only had one night.

Pradeep’s Blue Mountains View isn’t just your ordinary booking.com experience. It’s far beyond the accommodation, it’s an experience for sure. 4 acres of farm in a rural area with plenty of organic vegetables, fruits and spices. Pradeep will show you around, explain the life they live in Sri Lanka and his mom will prepare unforgettable meals from ingredients strictly from their garden. The accommodation is a simple and very clean room with amazing views over the farm. Stay with Pradeep and you won’t gain only accommodation for a night but also a friend!

I had an amazing stay! The place has such a peaceful vibe, surrounded by nature. The villa was clean and comfortable, and my favourite feature was the inner courtyard, which made me feel so connected to nature. The tree hut was the perfect nook for reading, and the staff even arranged one of our dinners there. We were also able to experience a well bath - such a one of a kind experience! The staff were incredibly attentive, always making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and full of local flavours. Loved the soothing sound of birds in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dambulla who’s looking for a relaxing and authentic Sri Lankan experience.

Ridge Boundary View was BY FAR the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip—I can’t recommend it enough! This isn’t just a stay; it’s an experience that everyone should have. Ruwan is the perfect host—welcoming, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make your trip better. He gave us a fascinating tour of the property, where they grow over 20 types of food, from rice and jackfruit to coconut and even breadfruit (which I had never heard of before!). Walking through the lush farm, touching and smelling the fresh ingredients, and listening to Ruwan’s hilarious stories made it unforgettable. Every meal was a farm-to-table feast, prepared with love by Ruwan’s family. From homemade cinnamon tea to an incredible spread of Sri Lankan dishes, everything was fresh and bursting with flavor. Each meal came with an explanation of its ingredients and preparation, giving us a deep appreciation for Sri Lankan cuisine—so much so that throughout the rest of our trip, we’d try dishes and say, “It’s good, but not as good as Ruwan’s!” The location is breathtaking. Watching the sunrise over the Knuckles Mountains right from our bed was pure magic, followed by the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. Ruwan also made our trip seamless, organizing everything from transport to an unforgettable safari, where we saw over 20 elephants up close! He even helped us navigate local buses, making what could have been a hassle into a fun adventure. Dambulla has plenty to see/do, with elephant safaris, the amazing Sigiriya Rock, Cave Temple, or just reading a book on the balcony and enjoying the view. Even after we left, Ruwan checked in to make sure we arrived safely at our next stop. He’s not just a host—he’s a genuinely kind and hilarious person who made our trip truly special. If you’re visiting Sri Lanka, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it!

The pool is serene, the location ideal for exploring the cultural heart of Sri Lanka — Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Dambulla, and more, all easily reached by tuk-tuk. And the food? Anula’s cooking is pure magic. Every meal, bursting with authentic Sri Lankan flavor, felt like a warm hug — especially for our 9-year-old vegetarian daughter, who suddenly ate everything with joy. But what truly made Villa Mankani unforgettable were the people. Nalin — the heart and soul of this place. Yes, he’s the manager, but more than that, he’s the spirit of Villa Mankani. Kind, calm, generous — he made us feel truly seen and at home. We’ve met many wonderful people in Sri Lanka, but Nalin is in a league of his own. Binura — always warm, gentle, ready to help before you even know you need it. Anula — not just a cook, but a mama in spirit, with kindness in every word and every dish. The night guard — greeting us every evening with a smile that made us feel safe and cared for. Animals — three sweet, friendly dogs, and one tiny superstar: Ellie, the dachshund puppy who stole our daughter’s heart. Every morning began with, “Can I go see Ellie now?” When we left, there were tears… And then — the moment that left us speechless: as we were saying goodbye, Nalin quietly handed our daughter a gift — a soft little teddy bear to remember them by. That gesture, so simple and full of love, broke our hearts in the best way. Villa Mankani reminded us that true hospitality isn’t about luxury — it’s about humanity. And that the most unforgettable places are built not of bricks and mortar, but of hearts wide open. Thank you ❤️🙏!

The hotel is located in a perfect setting, the garden is beautiful as well as the lake and the surrounding mountains. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Food was also great! The atmosphere was very relaxing.
