The room exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly and tend to all your needs. Dinner on arrival is plentiful and the safari is very well arranged with breakfast. We definitely recommend this stay of you want to do a safari in Wilpattu.

The room was very clean, cozy and with AC. The workers are very warm and helpful. They prepare home-made food which is amazing. Also we arranged with them a safari which we had to cancel because of sickness and they helped us in everything without any charge.

The safari with the guide that was very experienced, a 10/10 experience. The warm hospitality from the host and his wife. they were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The authentic Sri Lankan food, delicious and freshly prepared. The overall care,, they upgraded us for free because the room was not used the night we stayed.

We stayed two nights at Wilpattu Safari Resort, and it was a brilliant and memorable base for a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, with clean, luxurious rooms and fantastic service. The chalets are beautiful. We were four people, so we took two rooms: the ground floor with lots of space and a private plunge pool and the top floor that is split over two levels, with stunning views and the feeling of sleeping in a treehouse. Both rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with air conditioning, toiletries, etc. Whilst the rooms and the location are magical, it was the service that made Wilpattu extra special. We were contacted via WhatsApp a few days before arriving with information about the hotel, and directions for our driver. We were met on arrival with cold drinks and a warm welcome, and received exceptional service in the restaurant, even when we were the only ones eating there on our second night. Everyone was kind, happy to help and answer questions, and we felt very well looked after. The hotel is deep in the jungle, and the last ten minutes of the drive is up a bumpy track. We loved the feeling of remoteness, and over breakfast we saw monkeys, lizards, snakes and chipmunks. The location is also perfect if you’re doing a safari because it’s very close to the entrance for the National Park. There is a restaurant on site for anyone who doesn’t want to drive back down the bumpy road, avoiding the wild elephants. The food was lovely with huge portions. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the resort is still under construction – it’s going to be an incredible 5-star resort when it’s finished, and I assume that will also come with a 5-star price. It’s already got 5-star rooms and 5-star service, so I can highly recommend staying now.

This place was such a lovely surprise. We booked here last minute after a problem with our other accommodation. We were so well looked after, it felt like we were in our own private villa. Ajit was particularly amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The room itself was really cool. Very comfortable and clean with an amazing outside bathroom with a view of the trees. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge. Both meals were excellent. They were huge - so much food! Everything was so tasty. The location is great. Right by the entrance to the park and in the middle of some fields. It was a very tranquil setting. The lodge also arranged our safari into Wilpattu and a driver to our next destination. This hotel is highly recommended.
