The location within the tea plantations is perfect with a breathtaking view down to the plains. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is great. Rooms are spacious and very clean with a wonderful view from the bed. The owners organise a Tuk-Tuk for a whole day for a reasonable price. We started our trip to Horton Plains very early (5:45) and were provided with breakfast boxes. The owner takes ecology protection seriously, no plastic bottles or plastic bags are being provided.

A very peaceful and beautiful environment. All the facilities are there as per our needed. It is also a safe place and any one reach that place easily. The staff are very friendly. Foods also available and they prepared it deliciously for us.

Very nice guesthouse to stay in Ohiya. It's located close to Horton Plains National Park.Transport to the park can be arranged by the guesthouse. Large rooms with bathrooms and common garden. The staff is veeeeery friendly and if you need to solve any issue, it is solved quickly. Very friendly boss, always ready to help. The food served in the guesthouse is amazing, one of the best we tried in Sri Lanka.If you order the dinner be prepared for huge portions! Perfect place to stay near Horton Plains!!

Nice hotel. Basic room, but the owners were really friendly and good. They made me a big dinner, arranged a Tuk Tuk to get to World’s End and gave me a packed lunch. Ohiya is also a nice location. Recommended if you’re there.

We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. This place is quiet, clean, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again. We chose Meena Amma's Tea Experience because we wanted to have a closer and more genuine experience with locals, and because we wanted an accommodation close to the hiking trails of the Hortons Plains. Meena was such an amazing host. She took care of us in the best way possible. She walked with us to show us the surroundings, explained to us useful tips on Sri Lankan cuisine, and cooked for us the best and most authentic meals we had in Sri Lanka. Although, we thought that her cooking was amazing, it was a little bit salty for our taste buds. The room was nicely decorated and has the convenience of a nearly a 5* standard. Highly recommended accommodation in a strategic location close to Nuwara Eliya and Horton Plains. Just beware of the entrance road to the village is not asphalted!

    Almost everything.

    Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

    The view was really nice, just like the room. Spacious and clean. Very easy to go to Horton Plains if you have your own vehicle. Hard place to stay if you do not have your own vehicle. Owner of the hotel is very caring and helpful calling you to make sure you find the hotel.
