The tent accommodation was lovely with a terrace to sit on and watch the abundant bird and animal life. The staff were wonderful. Mohan is an absolute treasure and the other staff were helpful and friendly. We felt like honoured guests the whole time. The setting is peaceful and quiet, with a lovely view of a lake. We went on a fantastic boat safari and saw elephants, a crocodile and lots of interesting birds. Having coffee delivered in the morning added that little extra touch of luxury.

Good location near to Gal oya National Park. Amazing boat safari today then a 2000 year old temple! No one else there. The host is lovely. Good food

It's a very good place to stay in my favourite spot in all of Sri Lanka. The room was well ventilated and clean, they had a nice common area, gorgeous and quiet garden and over the top service. Worth every Rs.

My family (including teenage boys) and I had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming and produced a delicious supper and breakfast for us. We were positively surprised by the beautiful setting - if I could post some photos on this site, I definitely would! The property is surrounded by beautiful palm trees, wonderful fruit trees around the back and amazing spices, as well as a luscious green paddy field, all of which the host kindly showed us. The property is opposite a very pretty river and not far from the Gal Oya lake safari start. Would definitely recommend!

This was honestly one of the most welcoming and thoughtful places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, Sydney and his team looked after us so well. The chef asked what we fancied and was very accommodating. He cooked the most amazing curry, lunch and honey hoppers for breakfast (which we were introduced to and absolutely loved). They even gave us a packed lunch for our elephant boat safari, which they organised, along with a great driver. There were little extra touches that made such a different, like beers in the fridge when we arrived (and they went to get more when we ran out), a cooking class with a local family, a really interesting forest walk with an indigenous guide and when we asked if we could do some laundry they sorted it for us with no trouble at all. The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet spot with amazing Mountain View’s, a perfect place to switch off. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing project. Such a great experience 😊😊
