The staff are friendly, super helpful and accommodating. They strive to provide excellent services and support. Their Chef, Chef Wijitha made the most amazing food! He easily accommodated several other guests special requests and his Sri Lankan fare is not to be missed! The Cafe there not only allows you to enjoy the Elephants walking to the bath but also great snacks, cold drinks and lunch and dinner. It's a great value, please don't forget to grab a few souvenirs from their cute store attached to the Cafe 🙏 The Hotel staff is an extremely approachable, professional group of warm people, that wants you to feel at home. The Resident Officer, Sean, Front Office Manager, Asanka and F&B Supervisor, Osura really came together as team to really show you the very essence of Hospitality 🙏✨💯 Great job!

The staff greeted us at our tuk tuk and took care of our bags. Our room was nice and clean. There's a mini bar, for a fee, and a store right below. It's directly across the street from the elephant orphanage. In the morning, around 10:00, you can watch a herd of elephant cross the street. Quite a site

Our family had an absolutely delightful stay at Pinnawala, Sri Lanka. From the moment we landed, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. Despite arriving well before our check-in time, we were whisked away from the airport and provided with a comfortable room to relax in until our accommodations were ready. The rooms themselves were fantastic, boasting efficient AC, a convenient fridge, and a charming covered balcony overlooking a picturesque banana plantation. The serene atmosphere, coupled with the melodic birdsong, made for truly tranquil evenings, especially when accompanied by the soothing rhythm of raindrops dancing on the balcony. One of the highlights of our stay was the accessibility to the nearby hotel, easily accessible via a complimentary tuk-tuk ride or a leisurely walk. There, we indulged in the refreshing pool and indulged in a sumptuous buffet breakfast while marveling at the breathtaking views of the river, where elephants from the nearby orphanage would grace us with their presence twice daily as they came down to bathe. A special shoutout is reserved for Andrew, the incredibly friendly and accommodating transport manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. From providing lifts into town to arranging transportation to our next destination, Andrew's dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable. Overall, our experience at Pinnawala was nothing short of exceptional. The blend of luxurious amenities, breathtaking natural surroundings, and outstanding service made for an unforgettable family getaway. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this idyllic haven.

I had a very comfortable stay at Suwani Pinnawala Homestay…. the room was clean, spacious, and well-furnished, with a spotless bathroom…. the hosts were exceptionally kind, especially the lady of the house, who went out of her way to prepare special vegetarian meals for me…. breakfast was excellent, and the homestay is conveniently close to the elephant bathing grounds. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience to watch the elephants bathing. A number of souvenir shops on the street and limited food options. We ate in our hotel. Shops don't stay open late as most tourists leave for the day. 1 night is enough.

The staff were very obliging.

The staff were very obliging. We arrived at 1am, this was not a problem and they greeted us warmly. Next morning we watched elephants in river from our balcony. The events coordinator took us to a place where we could walk and swim with elephants. He stopped on side of road on way back to try coconut milk. Wonderful staff. We found the breakfast not quite to European tastes.

Peacock Village is located within the walking distance from the elephant bathing site and also is an extension of The Elephant Park hotel, hence we had access to the common areas of the main hotel including resturant, pool and the lounge. The host and the accomodation manager were extremely kind and helpful offering free tuktuk rides from/to nearby places. We booked a container room and it was a comfortable stay with all basic amenities including tv, fridge, electric kettle etc. I would 100% recommend this place.
