The property is absolutely gorgeous. When you enter from the main door you find yourself in front of a big clean pool, surrounded by a curated big garden with palm trees and beach view. You are literally on the beach where nobody walks by, but some local fishermen. The bedrooms are very big, with each it’s own big bathroom. Also, for the whole stay we had a great local butler who stayed at the villa and was always ready to help. He made us breakfast every day. He drove us to do groceries and cooked lunch for us. He booked us restaurants and arranged taxis when we asked for it. Including two masseuses who came to the villa to massage us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and we wished we stayed longer 🙏

I stayed with my friend in this fabulous property with direct access to the beach. It seemed like being in a private paradise. In fact, in addition to the super cozy room, with hot water, air conditioning and super clean, they had access to the outdoor area equipped with deck chairs and a hammock surrounded by greenery and peace. The owner, the boy and the lady who worked there were super nice and friendly, always available for our every need. Even their dog Rocco, stayed with us all night to keep us company while we enjoyed the sound of the waves. It was one of the best moments spent in Sri Lanka.

We enjoyed our stay at Kingfish villa in the month of March 2025. It was a very pleasant time. An optimal location to relax and experience the beautiful beach of Ranna at a distance of ca. 300 m. The owner Raveen is also an amazing person. He is very helpful and knows around Ranna, southern locations of SL and even other locations at wish. Also, there is the possibility to have him as a tour guide. He owns a restaurant as well where the food is exquisite. One can choose a variety of local foods and drinks too. Overall, remarkably good experience.

Our three days at fishermen’s lodge were super special, we felt so welcome and included in their family. The food in the restaurant was really amazing, the host is a great cook, we loved especially her rice and curry and the grilled fish. The traditional breakfast was also really good! The room was really simple, but still very clean and the host was always ready to help us in any way. You just walk a few steps to the beautiful beach which is nearly empty! In the morning the host took us fishing one time, which was the most special and fun experience! Overall we really recommend coming here for an authentic and local experience with extraordinary people! Thank you for everything! We might come back one time :)

Awesome place overlooking a very broad and calm beach. Beautiful garden and big spacious rooms with air conditioning. We liked everything about our stay: location, breakfasts and tips from the owner about what to do in the neighborhood. You can go bird watching, go chill and swim in a reef- protected Harmony Beach. Definitely one of my favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka. The location is everything and the staff is so kind and careing. I stayed for two nights to enjoy a birdwatching tour on Kalamitya Bird Sanctuary and when I got back I got an amazing breakfast. Furthermore the swimming pool area is fabulous with excellent sunbeds and service around. The view is stunning. The hotel itself, unusual to most places in Sri Lanka, is very well decorated. That will include some interesting historical pictures hanging on the wall, gorgeous wooden colors and very well designed bathrooms. I would definitely advice this place to anybody visiting this part of Sri Lanka. I read something about stray dogs. If you're not into stray dogs probably you shouldn't visit Sri Lanka at all. They were harmless and cute at least at this place and no more then three

Our stay in the Igabara hobbit house has been nothing short of magical!!!! The owner, Hirushan, is so lovely, attentive and happy to help with anything you might need. The room, including the private courtyard (with outdoor table & chairs, a hammock & outdoor shower) is absolutely perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing. The bed is big and comfortable, free coffee/tea/snacks and some refreshments in the minibar, Netflix on the TV, everything you could need in the bathroom, great shower pressure & working hot water, not to mention the attention to detail, there is so much character to this accommodation. We also had the included breakfast and added on a dinner here, cooked by Hirushan’s mum, the food was impeccable, we had grilled prawns, rice and curry, then some fruit and ice cream for dessert, Hirushan lit some candles and while we were eating there were fireflies right behind us (which just added to all the magic) I have loved every second here and am sad to leave. ❤️
