The stay was absolutely perfect! I wouldn’t change one thing about this place. We stayed for one night and from start to finish, the service and hospitality was exceptional, we were truly treated like family. The food was cooked fresh to order and absolutely divine, and we were fed until we couldn’t eat any more! The bed was super comfy and all the bathroom facilities were really good. The safari was great too. I don’t often write reviews but this place deserves one! The owner even called to speak to us just before we left to make sure we had a good stay!

Great hut with lovely private terrace, very quiet and relaxing after the busy cities. Host arranged a superb safari with breakfast and lunch included, we had a great day and very reasonably priced. Host was super friendly and we had a delicious dinner on the one night we stayed. They also arranged a cab for us to the next destination which was very helpful. Great value for money.

The location is beautiful, gardens are full of fresh fruit which was part of the delicious breakfast, the pool is fantastic, the host was incredibly helpful and made me a packed lunch for the safari which he organised as well as my onward trip to Tangalle, also the dinner was delicious which consisted of different Srilankan curries…so tasty! My room was really spacious and the bed very comfortable with an amazing rainfall shower in a newly built bathroom. I spent 3 days here and it was bliss 🌟

Amazing hosts, super friendly and supportive. They arranged transportation and tours for us, gave tips what to do and what to see. Also amazing food in the restaurant, all has been made fresh, great variability from Sri Lankan to Filipino and Continental. Room was clean and big with good AC. The pool is brand new. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend to stay here.

This place is one of my favorites in Sri Lanka! It was such a beautiful surprise! Calm area, very nice outdoor setting, the room was very spacious (as was the bathroom!) So let's talk details: - Food: Amazing! Home cooked food, with candlelight and the sounds of nature! - Safari: He was a very good company during my trip! He gave me some tips, was very flexible with my requests. - Helpfulness: Arranged a taxi to my next destination, Overall, it was totally worth it, you will really enjoy it! !

Where to start... We had a wonderful stay! Our host Ravidu is a very kind man, he welcomed me and my girlfriend into his family. We will forever be grateful for the special memories created there. His wife cooked us delicious traditional Sri Lankan food at night. Thank you very much ☺️ The bed is extremely comfortable and the room is spacious and very clean. It was nice to have a place to hang out on the terrace. There are many beautiful plants around the property that give it a jungle feel. We saw many tropical birds around. I 100% recommend booking a safari through Ravidu, he partners with a guide with many years of experience. The safari guide was knowledgeable about the animals and different species we saw on the safari. He was very respectful of the wildlife and drove slowly through the park unlike other jeeps..!!

The location of the cottage is fantastic, within walking distance to Udawalawe Handhi. The room is beautifully designed with huge glass windows to appreciate nature. Very clean. The host welcomed us warmly, and I must mention: this is where we had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka. It was provided to us for free.. Thank you!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House!

We really enjoyed Ravidu Safari House! It is located about 5 minutes from the entrance of Udawalawe Park and is in a beautiful location among the trees. The manager Ravidu and his wife were very friendly and organized a wonderful safari for us to the park. We saw over 50 elephants and other animals, so we had a great time. Our room at the hotel was large, comfortable and very clean. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to do a safari in Udawalawe.

The accommodation in this place has magical peace and quiet. The cabin is clean, air conditioned. Our host in the main building prepared us excellent Sri Lankan food. He is a wonderful, smiling and funny man with a wonderful family. We decided to go on a safari, which he helped us organize. As promised, our guide spoke good English and was able to identify animals that we would not have seen on our own. We highly recommend this place!

Hello everyone, just want to share our experience with Gayan ´s hotel. It is located very close to the main entrance of Udawalawe national park, with very kind host Gayan, who provided us the safari tour - with very experienced driver - he saw a little chameleon on a distant branchlet. How could he spot that, we still wonder😀 anyway, we really recommend staying with Gayan ´s!
