I can’t recommend this place enough!! Such an hidden gem in Unawatuna! The location is a bit far away from the beach, ca. 20 min walking but it’s perfectly doable and if you want to go to the centre you can easily find a tuktuk. It is the perfect place to connect with nature!! Such an amazing pool with the most beautiful relaxing areas. You can read outdoors in a little lounge! Room was absolutely perfect and clean, bed super comfortable and the “open air” bathroom was so nice, the pressure in the shower is perfect!! I also need to recommend the breakfast, amazing variety and everything so tasty!! So as the snacks in the restaurant!! The Staff is absolutely amazing, Dhali was absolutely the sweetest and really caring!! So as the young man at the reception, Oshadi (i hope i’m not writing it wrong) who was very welcoming since the beginning and helped us with everything. Also at the main entrance were two coworkers, who helped us with our luggage and made sure everything was meeting our needs!! I sadly don’t know their names but we were so well impressed from the whole staff!! They will definitely make you feel at home! Our flight was late in the evening and they even let us stay there and enjoy the pool and kept our luggage safe.

Fabulous stay! Rooms are nice, clean, balcony with amazing view, staff is very nice, food is excellent! Right ON the beach; the only hotel with such an advantage! Beach is also shallow enough to enjoy and waves are softer to relax in. A turtle did appear and were seen during 2 swims. Hotel has a nice rooftop top; unobstructed views!

Its a fantastic place, just at the beach and well planned hotel, pools, beach, restaurants, bars, lobbys are equally catering to customer service points. We had our best hotel experience at Araliya Unawatuna. Even met the owner and had a generous chat during breakfast which is so touching and personalized service standard I believe. Easy to visit Galle Fort, just a walk to the golden sandy beaches. Staff from top management to the ground staff is well trained to give excellent customer care. We specially thanking to our 7th flour room service staff who simply helped us in technical support, bars and restaurant staff and Nethmi & Dakshika and all wonderful reception staff memebers.

Small village with the best Ocean I've ever seen/feel. Only Ocean is enough for me to spent here a month. And nothing to do without Ocean. The rests are good, but not exceptional, no museums or viewpoints, a few attractions maybe wildlife nature, but not more.

Wonderful beach. Unawatuna is tropical bliss: golden crescent beach, clear snorkeling waters, and a relaxed vibe. The beachfront villa was stylish, spotless, with ocean-view balconies and perfect sunrise views. Prime location—steps to the shore, near cafes and jungle paths, yet peaceful. Flawless in every way.

we stayed here at the end of September so the sea was not as calm as it would normally be (or so the locals told us) but you could still go into the sea but maybe not for too long. We enjoyed ambling around the town and going into Gaul more. We used the pool at our hotel more than the beach here.

All sea view rooms and the room we stayed in was very spacious . A few minutes walk to jungle beach. The staff was friendly and even made arrangements to get our meals sorted. There is a kitchen and if we bring the raw materials we can even cook on our own , just need to pay them for the space we use. Over all I enjoyed unwatuna because it was conveniently located too.

Great place to go we stayed three nights I would stay less. Slightly more expensive than Mirrisa and the tourist are mainly Russian. Turtle beach is great. Recommend as best place to see turtles for free .

My friends I stayed at sleepyhead while travelling Sri Lanka in a tuk tuk. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough! There is secure car parking and a really nice private garden. This is the perfect place to stay for longer stays with a kitchen and great facilities. It is in a great location of unawatuna close to the beach, railway station and galle fort. The bed’s are comfortable and it feels very clean and like a brand new build. 10/10! We will definitely be back

Apa Villa was one of our most favourite and memorable hotels during our three weeks in Sri Lanka. Arriving feels like you're being let in on a secret as you wind through the jungle with monkeys playing overhead. We stayed in the Pond House, loved the outdoor bathroom and relaxing in the afternoon watching the lotus flowers sway. It feels secluded and luxurious but is only 15 minutes from the beach. Sabina was a fabulous host, we'd love to return.

The hotel is ideally located in Unawatuna making it easy to access Galle -Colombo Main road and the beach. The check-in process was smooth-and the staff was friendly and helpfulI. was able to check in/check out with no issues, and the staff provided me with all the information I needed. My room was clean and particularly enjoyed the sea view .However the dialog tv did not work. Restaurant and their foods were so delicious.

Nice clean room with a/c, and balcony with nice view to the bay next to a small pagoda. Hostess was very welcoming and cooked nice breakfast. You can ask for english toast and eggs or sri lankan with coconut sambol, and fresh mangos from the garden. The hilltop location is a small climb, but the view and peacefulness is worth it. Beach is very near, but not too near so it's not noisy in the night.
