Location is amazing. Like a little private island. Entrance to the resort is like a nice walk in mangrove jungle. It’s really well mantained. We stayed in the ac room and the room was super clean, really comfortable and well decorated. Staff and the owner, ware really helpful and really sweet to us. We can totally recommend to stay here.

An oasis of beauty and tranquility. Just eight rooms, more like a home than a hotel. Such peaceful views across the lawn onto the beach through ancient trees. It’s on a very rare patch of Sri Lankan beach with no other hotels or restaurants, just the local fishermen. It’s a magical stretch of beach with hardly any tourists on it. The powerful waves means its not ideal for swimming. But if you walk around the corner 15 min away there is a calmer huge beach, but much more crowded and built up . I did have a quick dip every day, but better to swim around the corner . On the way is a rock jacuzzi pool perfect for young kids, and very popular with the locals at the week end. I discovered it’s co owned/managed by a norwegian so the material standards are really high, beautiful local furniture, gorgeous interior decoration, sophisticated simplicity or is it Asian elegant ‘hygge’ ? The food is delicious, beautifully presented with a choice of local and international dishes, fairly priced as well. As a solo traveller it’s a real haven. The staff are particularly kind and attentive. The manager even called me at 22.00 when I wasn’t back to check all was ok.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the essentials I needed—comfortable bed, fresh linens, and good air conditioning. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The owner was incredibly kind and went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed. The room was very clean and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to unwind. And the breakfast was the best I had in Sri Lanka – fresh, flavorful, and served with care, on the so cosy garden. First of all I would like to thank the hotel owner Niroshan and his wife Lakshmi for their hospitality and for making everything for our comfortable stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel itself is located in a picturesque village just above the Madhu River. The rooms have a beautiful view of the river, islands and jungle. There are only six rooms in the hotel, so Niroshan can give enough time and attention to each of the guests. Start your day with the pool and freshly squeezed fruit juice. The breakfast at the hotel is delicious and quite varied. Niroshan is a wonderful cook with years of experience, so be sure to try the dishes prepared by him. Our stay here fell on New Year's Eve, which we decided to celebrate at the hotel, which we never regretted. The hotel team organized for us an unforgettable evening with delicious food, wine, fireworks and national dances. Especially memorable was the excursion to a tea plantation and a tea factory. You should definitely visit it, you will learn a lot of interesting things about the technology of harvesting and production, as well as taste very tasty tea. Niroshan is a very interesting person and will gladly tell you about the specifics of life on the island, local traditions and history. I did not want to leave. But we will definitely come back, because there is still so much to see on the island, so much to try!
