The hospitality and friendliness of the staff is just perfect! The food is great too. We started our holiday here and it was great to recover from the flight, you can also go for trips, we went to the Brief Gardens which was great, but there is more to explore, so you can definitely stay longer here.

Lunuganga is absolutely beautiful, and the staff make the experience better than you could ever imagine. The food is really fantastic and bonus services like room service and late breakfasts made for an amazing stay. I cannot stress enough how incredible this place is - forget about the high price for Sri Lanka, it is worth every penny! Breakfast is included and it is a HUGE breakfast probably normally worth $30, so this is a great addition. The rooms were so comfortable, excellent beds, stunning interior design (obviously the architecture is incredible). The gardens are so lush and green, it's a real treat to walk around them. The tours are definitely worth it - you learn a lot. We stayed in the "Guest Suite" room in the de Silva house, and I hope to stay again it was perfect. I've included pictures of breakfast, but not lunch, which was Sri Lankan curry (but they have other options).

We booked two rooms for us and our three sons. The rooms were large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and was served on our balcony. The location was great - just a short walk from the bus, train and the beach. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed longer. Chami was very friendly and helpful as were all of the staff. We would stay longer if we could.

A truly exceptional small hotel near one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka. We stayed for two nights at first and after a few nights in Galle we returned to Villa Bentota given that the hotel was just so good. The hotel buildings and interiors are really beautiful and clean. The room is cleaned in the morning and the staff also enquires if there is a need to do a second cleaning later during the stay. The surroundings are exceptional. All of the staff at the hotel very helpful (although at least one of them was only in it for the tips) and very professional. Special thanks to Chamod and Malith. The breakfast was amazing and the best we had in the 7 hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Lunch and dinner were great as well, offering the option to cook essentially whatever the client likes (of course within limits).

The staff is extremely professional and friendly, and the garden is beautifully groomed, located on the edge of a river. The food is delicious and presented artistically. I loved every moment here. The doctors, yoga, and treatments are great! It's a must stay for 7 or 14 days. I'll definitely be back.

I had the best stay here durig my SriLankan trip at this place. I was initially reluctant to book as the property seemed new. The property is equipped with modern amenities. Must add- you got hot water at good speed (something that was a miss at a lot of properties we stayed in). The most amazing part of the stay were the host-Sisi, his wife and kids.Very warm and hospitable people, always willing to assist ( including Tuk Tuk rides). We played with their son and used his cricket bat and ball to play at the beach which is very close by. Between the beach and their apartment is a green park with kids rides, which was great for us as we had kids with us. They also gave us connecting rooms,which was great for our family. Last but not the least, breakfast was amazing (mix of SriLankan and western style). I was full till lunch. I only stayed here for a night but for this place and surrounding beach minimum of two days would be ideal.
