Very beautiful stay with the most lovely people!! The pool is very nice, and the views are amazing. The rooms are big, clean and the shower is very nice (and hot!). It's not too far to walk to the center and the beach, but the location of Sapiens Home is quiet en peaceful. The breakfast is delicious. The staff is more than welcoming and kind, where they helped us when there were stray dogs in the street and we could not get passed them and made me feel special on my birthday with cake, a board and congratulations. We really enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic stay at villa hillcrest. The hut was a lot bigger than expected. We were greeted by monkeys when we first arrived. The location is very serene and the pool is fantastic (also for swimming laps). Extended our stay as it was so great. Staff were all super friendly and hospitable. Definetely recommend.

Rise was an absolute hit when it comes to accommodation in the Weligama area. The location is perfect, very close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The room was spotless, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was spacious enough for us to comfortably unpack. The bed was large and comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. Breakfast was perfect as well, several options to choose from and truly excellent coffee that set a positive tone for the day. And of course, we have to mention the restaurant, which serves the most delicious pizza! A few bites and you feel like you’ve been transported straight to sunny Italy. We were genuinely impressed by how incredible the food was. And finally, the most important part: the owners. We felt truly welcomed, they helped us, advised us, and were simply wonderful. I hope I’ll have the chance to return soon. - clean, spacious room with comfortable bed - close to the beach - helpful staff - delicious breakfast with fantastic coffee - room smells great as well as towels and linen - good value for money - wonderful hosts, we felt right at home

We were there 4 nights during off season.

We were there 4 nights during off season. There is not much to do there in July. Especially with kids. Since the sea was to rough to swim in! Lots of wind and felt a bit like a ghost town to us. Every restaurant we went to we were the only ones! I think 2 nights would have been more than enough

Fortunately the place is not in the city of Wellgama which is bery busy, crowdy and noisy city. We resigned from spending more time in the city after 1h walk trying to find a nice area like caffees/restaurants or local small shops where you can buy some hand made staff etc.

Everything was beyond my expectations; the staff, the facilities, and the location. The staff Lashitha was the most hospitable, kindest person I met in Sri Lanka. He taught me many things about the country and was eager to help in every possible way. The breakfast was big and high-quality, the room was very spacious and clean. The location is perfect as well. It's close to the beach, a big supermarket and a few local eateries are nearby. I had stayed at another hotel before Mzion, and this hotel changed my experience in Weligama.

Without a doubt the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka! Fantastic and friendly hosting with a huge breakfast + extras served every day (you will not go hungry here). The accommodation is only a stones throw from the beach yet far away from the hustle of the main road running through weligama. If you enjoy watching wildlife I would suggest booking a room with a river view balcony to see many birds at sunrise/sunset. I really cannot recommend this place enough!
