I had a wonderful stay at Royal Lion in Galagadara. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and clean, with stunning mountain views that make your stay feel peaceful and relaxing. The food was also delicious — freshly prepared and full of flavor. This is really a quiet haven against the backdrop of the bustling city of Kandy. We were welcomed with cool towels and refreshments and the owner could not do more to make our stay fantastic. This included a complimentary lift into town, an extended check out and help with transport and tours. Nothing was too much trouble! The hotel is in a beautiful building, tastefully furnished with lots of terraces/areas to relax and with the added benefit of a pool. The breakfast was delicious and served in the beautiful first floor dining room with fantastic views. The most remarkable value for money - couldn’t recommend more highly!

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The views have to be experienced in person. Lovely staff that goes above and beyond to meet your needs. They arranged a cooking class for us during our stay which was lovely. Will definitely come back in the future.
