Absolutely everything was fantastic about this properly. We felt like the only guests and were looked after so well. The resort is incredibly private, we booked the Hibiscus Villa- highly recommended with a fantastic uninterrupted view of the tea plantation. We did the cooking class which was gorgeous and then we ate our dinner on our terrace with candles. It was honestly magical. Devastated we had to leave!

Absolutely everything. We felt like we’d arrived to a house of an interior design magazine. The guys were incredible, outstanding breakfasts and evening meals. Marie the dog was just super chilled and loved a belly rub Great location. 20min walk to a nearby village and we saw a wedding festival being prepared with elephants too!! You absolutely gotta stay here

The cleanliness, the food variety and quality and most certainly the wonderful staff. Special mention for Ragu the Chef Sanduni and Shehan. Their attention to customer service was exemplary.

The management and staff were extremely friendly and supportive, and the level of detail in the service and facilities was outstanding.

The rooms are beautifully designed. The owner Enrico is the most hospitable and friendly host, he accommodated our every need. The value for money is exceptional. Quiet and serene surroundings for those looking for a peaceful getaway. The breakfast is made by Enrico himself and it is really healthy, tasty and fulfilling.

We had an amazing time at Animals! We loved it here so much we doubled our stay because the place is just a dream. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "budget rooms" at first, which is just 10 seconds from the pool and dining area. Even though it's called a budget room, it's spacious & very well maintained and has a lovely garden, and the rooms have a large bathroom, a dressing and a terrace. The other days we spend in the double rooms in the main building which are like you're staying inside of a Pinterest moodboard. We got the privilege to meet the Swedish couple who owns the hotel & designed it into an absolute gem. They are just the best people, we talked for many hours & went surfing with them & learned so much about Swedish & Sri Lankan life during our talks. The breakfast included has so many options tot choose from and the coffees are actually the best we had in Sri Lanka. If you would be unfortunate that there is no room available in the hotel, do yourself a favour and come have lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed! Even though we travelled a lot and visited so much nice hotels & resorts, we never had the same experience like we had at Animals! Wonderful staff, all very helpful and nice. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Comfort very high, pool very nice. The chef is great and interacts with the guest as well which we liked. Close to the beach but still on a calmer road.

We stayed in the villa at the top, which offered a stunning view thanks to the large panoramic doors and windows. We stayed in Room 19, which turned out to be spacious and cozy. It had all the necessary amenities: air conditioning, a comfortable bed and mattress (just like home), new beautiful and comfortable furniture, nice bathroom with a large shower, a bidet, and a washing machine. We were pleased to have a kitchen, a refrigerator, and household items. The territory is simply magnificent, it was looked after every day, the place is full of beautiful trees where birds sing and build nests. You can see how grows mango, papaya, lime, bamboo, etc. It’s like a paradise. There’s also a pool on the premises. It was nice to dip in and spend time there. Staff:
 The first thing that comes to mind about the staff is their smiles and politeness. I thank everyone who works in this place for their kindness and friendliness. Sasini always tried to assist us with any inquiries: helping with little requests, organizing excursions, and you could talk to her about the culture and traditions in Sri Lanka. She was very responsive and kind, even giving me a small gift to remember our stay. Driver Sandaru was always friendly and quickly took us to the necessary places in a tuk-tuk. He recommended visit a turtle hatchery and took us to nice beaches: Dalawela Beach and Jungle Beach, which are not far from the villa. He even gifted us some incense, it was nice. Every 3-4 days, we were offered cleaning, and they vacuumed, changed the sheets, towels, and wiped all surfaces and mirrors. However, you could also request cleaning earlier if needed. Breakfast was included in the price:
A buffet was offered mostly local food, but it was always varied. One day my wife mentioned that she likes the Aralia flower, and later the staff presented it to her just like that, it was a very kind and nice gesture.
