We had a lovely stay at Jay’s. He is a great host and his sister is an excellent chef. They made us a great dinner and breakfast with vegetables from their own garden. We often read ‘the best curry’ in many reviews, but I can truly say that this where the best meals we had during our trip in Sri Lanka (and we had many good meals).

This is a wonderful spot. A bit difficult to reach over a very bumpy road (drove my own car) but it was worth the effort: Surrounded by forest covered Hills, bird calls and the soft gurgling of the pool, delicious meals with a wonderful view and friendly staff. Fantastic sunsets from the rock which is a short steep climb above the lodgings, I became more and more relaxed during the 3 days and nights of my stay. A wonderful opportunity to tune in to an almost pristine and peaceful Sri Lankan environment.

Beyond Expectations Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully designed, the facilities immaculate, and the view simply breathtaking. An „insider‘s tip“ for travelers who will appreciate a beautiful and authentic home-stay a little off the mainroad, surrounded by Sri Lankan nature. We found this place by chance, when our tuk-tuk-trip from Negombo to Sigiriya got too long and we decided to take a break. Next time around, we will definitely come here again on purpose. Wajira and his beautiful family have welcomed us with open arms and open doors. We felt at home very quickly because of their friendliness. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan food, interacting with the family and the whole atmosphere. Thank you for everything!

We had a truly amazing experience here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The food was amazing and the chef made sure the spice levels was too our liking. The pool overlooking the mountains was truly magical and was the icing on the cake for this wonderful property. We wish we had more time here.
