Despite being almost 200 km from the seashore the city had an inspiring shore holiday feel with a great beach side island in the middle of the city. Coffee probably the best in Aluksne (definitely much better than on the island). Owner stayed till late hours, so we could have a dinner on our arrival (which I really appreciate!).
