The food was delicious and the staff were sweet and very helpful. I am gluten intolerant, and this was the place I stayed in Morocco, where I felt the most safe eating. They had good knowledge about gluten, and always made sure my food was as good as everyone else’s.

We liked this city and the hotel so much that we planned to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying for 4. The staff, Khalid and his family, were very kind and Khalid upgraded our room to a larger one. The next day he also guided us to see the carpets, the river, the gardens and the Todra Gorge. We looked forward to eating his Berber omelettes every morning! The rooms, facilities and linens were very clean and we felt relaxed as if we were at home. We had a lot of fun every day playing games and music. Highly recommended!!

Staying at the Kasbah Maison D'hote Lalla Zahra was incredible. Mohamed was a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome. The location and the view are unbeatable. The bed was more firm than I like, but that is more of a matter of opinion or preference. I highly recommend staying here! You will not regret it.

We stayed for two nights to explore Todra Gorge area. ibrahim was most welcoming and Dar Tiwira is excellently located just off the main road and easy walking to explore the area. We were offered a choice of rooms which were well furnished in traditional style and very comfortable. We effectively ate half board which was an excellent choice and very tasty and plentiful. Ibrahim and his staff were very welcoming informative and helpful and wanting to ensure your visit was positive. Ibrahim has many connections in the locality and able to assist with any plans to explore that you may have. Many thanks to Ibrahim and his family for an excellent stay

Amazing view on this beautiful valley and the mountains from the rooftop but also from the room. Heating in the room Beautiful ways through the valley for reaching the riad/gorge (which, crossing a river without a constructed bridge, was more than a challenge alone with a child, a backpack and a stroller - but still possible) Friendly, helpful personal Very quiet, peaceful place The constructions going on between the rooms and the restaurant building didn't disturb at all (no loud machines were used)

Truly spectacular building, location, and views!

Truly spectacular building, location, and views! The facility is almost magical in in architecture...all stone that blends in with the Gorge area and the quality of the building is top notch. Also, great that it is mostly run on energy from the sun. To top it all off, we had the cave room, which is truly unique. Finally, the staff was super friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended even if a little off the beaten path. Well worth it.

Visit, Visit, Visit.

Visit, Visit, Visit. And if you like to hike, do the climb that starts at the stairs. If you are a good climber, it takes about an hour to get to the top. We crossed paths with goats and nomads along the way! The view is a panoramic view of both sides.

Todra Gorge is a beautiful area.

Todra Gorge is a beautiful area. I went there mainly to climb with a group of friends as it is an area famous for this Etoile de Gorge as the perfect location for this as there is literally great climbing as soon as you step out of the hotel. Many great climbing spots are just within walking distance. And if you drive a bit, you can find more amazing crags. Wi-fi is bad in the entire area. (BTW Orange has zero signal in this area so get a Sim from INWI if you're thinking of coming to Todra Gorge). I would seriously recommend planning for a digital detox and not having to do a bit of remote work as I had to :( as this place is gorgeous and relaxing! Price-wise the whole area it's on the touristy end for food. But this can be said for all hotels and restaurants in the area. Restaurant food prices aren't too different from touristy places in Marrakesh. In other (less popular) places, the food quality is the same and half the price.
