Our stay at Villa Zahra was wonderful. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful & friendly. I came with my family late in the afternoon with my car and Said came to a point close to the apmartement and guided us to the place. He gave us a verry warm welcome and even had a small souvenir from Larache for us. The appartement was verry clean and had everything you need for a confortable stay. There is a paid parking with camera's 2-4 minutes away on foot from the appartment which only costs 20 mad per day (2 euro per day). We would certainly go back if we visit Larache again.

The ancient site of Lixus is amazing and makes going to...

The ancient site of Lixus is amazing and makes going to Larache worthwhile. The Plaza Espana in the modern town is very atmospheric. There are a few rather run-down hotels in this area. The Medina is quite small and easy to navigate - but it is very squalid. A daytrip from Asilah to Larache and Lixus would be the best bet - overnight is difficult.

The nearby Lixus ruins dating back to the Carthaginians were an archeological gem, especially when toured with a local guide. But Earache itself is worth exploring...as an authentic Moroccan city not polished up for tourists. Wandering the media gave me a true feeling for how people live.

I visited the city a few years ago... beautiful and wonderful. Its people... kind, attentive, and friendly. These days, it's slowly being destroyed, promenades like the Balcony of the Atlantic, houses, etc. It's a shame... cities like Tetouan, Asilah, etc., are far superior. They are clean and beautiful.

I already knew Larache, but there's always something new to discover! Eating freshly caught fish is a real treat. The beach is clean and peaceful, and the locals are very friendly and helpful. Thank you, we'll be back many more times!

A beautiful region to rediscover!

A beautiful region to rediscover! The food was excellent, especially the fish. The churches, architecture, and overall welcoming atmosphere were all highlights. The town center is easily accessible and close to the sea. A magnificent little town! I enjoyed walking, cycling, and swimming, as the weather was wonderful.

A typical Moroccan town, lively and interesting. The medina is unfortunately abandoned, full of rubbish and with no building maintenance. This is a shame because the city enjoys an enviable location facing the sea and close to Tangier.

From the beautiful green door, following up the winding staircase to be welcomed by Hassan and Fatima, we knew this was going to be a lovely place to stay. Right in the middle of the Medina, you’re seconds away from everything you would want to see or do in Larache. The room and en suite were spotlessly clean. Each morning we sat with our lovely hosts to eat a delicious breakfast over great conversation.

In the midst of a characterful Moroccan medina is Sultana Larache, an oasis of calm and genteel charm. Run by an exceedingly helpful family and their team, my sea view room had a fabulous view and very was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I was treated like royalty. How wonderful.
