Rabat gets a poor showing in tourist guides and recommendations but I adore the place. I've been there five times now and will be going back again soon. It definitely off the main tourist trail and not overloaded with monuments but the atmosphere is very tranquil and friendly. By Moroccan standards it's clean and orderly with beautiful gardens and a great beach and shoreline with the Bouregreg separating it from its twin but much older sister town Sale with its traditional ambience and modest understated feel. Rabat is big enough to call itself a city (it is the capital after all) but friendly and homely enough to have the air of a provincial town. It is a safe place to be and prices are fixed and fair so there is no having to haggle or lohg unpleasant faces and scowls if you decide not to buy something. People are friendly and hospitable and it has some great places for home cooking!Guest review byNicholasSpain - 10.0

Loved Rabat, would recommend no more that 3-4 days. People lovely and very helpful. Very good Capital city. If you like to have a alcoholic drink in the evening highly recommend 'UPSTAIRS' pub and food was absolutely delicious, we had there 2 nights. Great weather.
Great weather. Lots to see and do and a lot within walking distance of each other. The attractions I went to were free as well which is an added bonus. The buses and trams are an affordable way of getting around. All air conditioned the WiFi on them not the strongest but e sims easily obtainable at very affordable prices. We visited Challa in Rabat, which was beautiful. If you enjoy ancient ruins, it's a must visit. We strolled the waterfront and got lost (intentionally) in the Medina! Rabat is a lot more laid back than Marrakech, so it was a great start to our Moroccan adventure!Guest review byTara

Free parking directly outside the hotel was a big plus after a somewhat stressful drive in the lunchtime traffic. The room was clean, bed was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the variety of the breakfast buffet. Staff were kind and attentive. Rabat itself is well worth a visit. One of our favourite destinations in Morocco. The hotel is located in the heart of the Medina and is just a minute or two away from the market streets and the beach is just 10 minutes away. The pool area at the roof of the hotel was great and private. The Riad staff was very kind and offered me late breakfast when they noticed I didn't come out of my room during breakfast hours.
