Mohamed is a great host. We walked from Imlil to be greeted by him outside his cafe at the edge of the village. He gave us tea and made a delicious tagine before we headed to the property. The property was very clean with a nice warm shower. Mohammed was a great host and would sit and laugh with us for hours. We decided to stay a second night as we enjoyed his company and the property so much. He cooked a great breakfast and gave us some snacks for our day of walking. On the second night he took us down into another village in the valley that you probably wouldn’t visit to have tea with his friend. The whole experience was fantastic and we were all happy to have met Mohamed! Thanks very much for the hospitality. Lots of love, Matt, Kevin & Harry (Mohamed, Roma and Brahim)

We stayed for the night on our run/walk from Imlil to Tacheddirt (self organised and without a guide). Hassan and his son were such lovely hosts. The terrace had beautiful views and all the food was great. They gave us a tasty sandwich packed lunch. In April it was a little cold at night so Hassan put on the log burner in the upstairs sitting room and we had the option of eating inside. This is a unique stay in the highest village in North Africa and felt far away from the heavy tourism of other areas. A small shop was open for a short time during our stay. We got a bottle of water from Hassan but also water and sweets from the shop.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! The location in the mountains is absolutely stunning – like a dream. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The service, the cleanliness, the food, and the overall atmosphere were all amazing. It was a peaceful and unforgettable experience. I truly enjoyed every moment and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for beauty, comfort, and relaxation. I would love to come back again!

Simply amazing location, and considering this, very good facilities. Tacheddirt is a small village, high and remote in the Atlas mountains, surrounded by subsistence farmers and exceptional mountains. I recommend staying at the Tigmi and using it as a base to explore around the area. At least 3 days of walking nearby, all with wonderful views and friendly people. The accomodation is very good, and the host is very helpful. If you arrive by car, then be aware you cannot just park it next to the Tigmi (there is only one road in the village, and this goes around the outer edge of the village, so not past the Tigmi). I suggest you park somewhere on the road and ask the locals to walk you to the Tigmi (they all know each other, and they will help locate the owner to open up for you). Once you've settled down then discuss with the owner about dinner and breakfast (this is the only place you can eat in the village) and agree the price with him directly. We visited with children (9-14) and they also enjoyed it very much.

    Staying at Gîte O'Gog Tacheddirt was an incredible experience! The hospitality here is unmatched – the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, providing delicious traditional meals and helping us explore the beautiful surroundings. The gîte is cozy and clean, with breathtaking mountain views that are a treat for any nature lover. It's an ideal base for hikers, with trails leading directly to the stunning peaks and valleys of the High Atlas. This is the perfect place to experience authentic Berber culture in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique stay in Morocco.

    If you are a mountain lover this is the place you should be.

    If you are a mountain lover this is the place you should be. Great mountain view in wonderful Toubkal reserve. People are helpful and very friendly. Very close to many touristic (e.g. Imlil, Ourika, Sitti Fatma, Oukaimdan sky.. and ecosystem and nature (lake of Ifni and Toubkal mountain). The weather is lovely and the food is very delicious. The owner and his family are very helpful and available anytime you need. Possibility to organize a nice guided trekking tour around the beautiful Toubkal reserve area.
