The town is blessed by a glorious setting, the emerald green bay with steep mountains as a dramatic backdrop. The town itself is graced with more stylish Venetian palazzos that you can shake a stick at. But Kotor also suffers from the curse of colossal cruise ships, which can flood the tiny town with hundreds of tourists at once, even in October. There are lovely walks either side of the bay with cafes that have the most scenic views imaginable. It's a good way to get away from the crowds and to enjoy the spectacular panorama. If I had my time again, I would spend three nights in Kotor instead of six and spend at least two nights in Perast, an improbably picturesque spot.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely place that can get very busy when boats are in the dock. It has small streets and this can sometimes be difficult to walk down when thousands of people descend on the city! The surroundings are gorgeous, with some lovely food to be found. The people are very friendly and helpful too. There are numerous people selling boats trips to Perast and other places -- definitely worth it. It is on the pricey side and, because it's quite touristy, there's a lot of ways money is forced out of you. Beware: There's no Uber or Bolt or anything like that, so taxis can charge what they like. They try and charge 15 euros to walk up to the fort (there is a longer way around that is free). Every cash machine charges 5 euros to take any money out, so take some with you, or take large amounts out.Guest review byJosephUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful old town, essential to take a boat trip along the bay to view the majestic mountains. The cable car is also a great activity, not only do you get a view of Kotor Bay but when you get to the top there is a lot to explore. The roads are very busy so it takes a while to get around. Essential to book a taxi before you arrive at the airport as the taxis from there are very expensive. Absolutely amazing scenery. Kotor was better than I thought.

The Bay of Kotor is stunning.
The Bay of Kotor is stunning. The Old Town is lovely to walk around. Just time your visit to the old town to avoid the cruise ships!. The cable car is a experience you and get the tickets & the shuttle bus from the bus station, the price is 30 euros pp which includes shuttle & cable car. There was no kettle and Mirko bought a new one., By the time we were back from the days outing, kettle was at flat! Also we asked for late checkout and Mirko assisted.
