Podgorica is small and doesn’t feel like a capital.
Podgorica is small and doesn’t feel like a capital. It has lots of nice parks. There are a couple of art galleries, but they only host temporary exhibitions, so they were closed while the displays were being changed. The girl at the hotel told us that not many tourists come to Podgorica, as the seaside locations are more popular. Even so, we visited many places, enjoyed a really nice cake and coffee during the day, and had dinner at Pod Volat, which is an excellent restaurant. Podgorica does not get great reviews in the travel guides but we really enjoyed our day there. Very clean, very safe and very green. No great sites but lots of interest to see how people live. I probably wouldn't recommend visiting the city...
I probably wouldn't recommend visiting the city... We spent one night here after staying in Budva to be closer to the airport the next day. We felt there wasn't much to see (maybe we just didn't know the right spots...). However, would highly recommend staying in the coastal towns like Budva! Might be easier to fly into Tivat Airport instead. Be careful with the taxi drivers - there's a lot of scammers out there and unfortunately, Uber/Bolt isn't available. I suggest doing research on the official Taxi companies and having a few contacts handy - or ask you Hotel/Hosts for assistance.Guest review byJaimeeNew Zealand

The staff were very helpful, polite, and kind. I had requested an early check-in, and that was granted. We were given a free upgrade to a suite, which was very spacious and satisfying. The hotel itself has a restaurant and a bar, which can come in pretty handy. We were leaving pretty early in the morning before the breakfast started, so they packed all of us a good portion and variety of breakfast. They also booked us a taxi to the airport.
