    Always bargain, no matter what.

    Always bargain, no matter what. Then tip the vendor generously. Your extra dollar in tip goes a long way for them. As everywhere else, don't give the pickpocketers any opportunities. Keep a wand of 100 Arirary bills for the children along your route. After all you can get about 42 or 43 of them for a dollar. 300 Ariary can by them a good snack. Toliara is a city that never sleeps. And don't forget to visit MANGILY beach. 1 hour away, and worth the ride. ICI PISCINE has a nice restaurant. RAZA, the owner, is a great guy. You just ask and he makes it happen. He has a great lodge with swimming pool there. Very affordable.
